Convenient property, great for Falls visit
We stayed at this property for the black Friday weekend after Thanksgiving on a trip to visit the Falls. It is nicely located and convenient being a few minute drive away from the park viewing area and touristy stretch of activities up the hill from the Falls.
The interior was renovated at some point in the recent past and is very modern and minimalistic; this lends itself to a nice open feel but at some points feels lacking in homey creature comforts. Little things like not having a shelf in the shower for your shampoo and soap, a sparsely equipped kitchen that has only minimal cooking utensils, and a lack of furniture in the bedrooms to even place your suitcase or personal items prevent the property from feeling truly welcoming.
The neighborhood seems to be in a revitalization effort, with the goal of bringing more business and commerce to the old queen Street area of Niagara Falls, as there are quite a few restaurants and bars one block over on the main business street of this neighborhood. If all the neighboring properties are cleaned up better, this property will go from being a good value to a top-tier location. (until then, it is best to keep the window blinds down during your stay)
All in all, at the lower price point it is a good value, and I can recommend it for shorter trips to the Niagara Falls area.
