The house is very well equipped and comfortable. Views are lovely, and there is a great undercover outdoor area to make the most of these views. A very short drive into town, which was great. Quiet area. Short access road up to the house, which was easy to drive with normal SUV. The only minor issues we encountered were taken up with the agents, who would hopefully see to it. Things like gas for the BBQ that ran out on the 2nd night. It's not feasible to expect guests to drive into town halfway through a BBQ to replace the gas bottle - I advised them to have a spare gas bottle available. No dish cloth available, and only 1 dish drying towel. There is a dishwasher, yes. But you still need dish cloths for wiping the odd things. Other than these and other very minor things, I would highly recommend. Especially if you enjoy birdlife!
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking good care of the home

Cute place with lots of charm. Loved the opportunity to befriend the horses on site. Next investment needs to be an outdoor firepit!
The house was very comfortable, and the setting was great,
One comment we would like to make is that there was no clothes dryer or clothes pegs to dry our laundry, therefore we had to make a special trip into Nowra to the laundromat.

Suggestions:add fly spray (lots of flies) and some way to light the candles provided in case of blackout to the on-arrival kit;review wording of bathroom notice: "no one likes to clean up after others"- that surely is part of what tenant is paying for;don't message tenant at 8.30pm during an al fresco dinner asking that the outside light be turned off because someone on a hill miles away has complained;amend the on-arrival notes to make clear that the external rubbish bins tenants are asked to use on departure are some distance away - at the main entrance to the property off the highway.

Many thanks for your review and comments. Some of which are rather disappointing.
There is most certainly fly spray at the home for your use. We tend not to leave many matches and candles in the home due to on going bushfire issues however there is a torch should you require it. I would suggest the comments regarding cleanliness is simply asking guests to leave the home tidy and certainly do not expect a guest to clean the home.
The request was made to turn off an outside light that is very bright and can be seen by a neighbour especially when left on for long periods of time.
The rubbish bins are placed where they are so that you pass them when exiting and make use a little easier.

Reviewer Comments:
Wild Rose had a beautiful serenity and the views and landscape was spectacular. However within the cottage a little more attention to detail is recommended. Pantry items are more then salt and pepper. Please included oils, sugar other then sachet, flours etc and a set of saucepans - 1 is not good enough. the window sills need cleaning and the veranda should be free of bird poo and the outdoor table able to use.

Hi Michelle It was lovely to welcome you back again ! I am afraid we are not providing more than the very basics due to the present COVID situation as would need to replace for every single guest. The sugar sachets are provided as for just that reason. Do hope you come back to us again to one of our lovely homes.
Perfect weekend away with hubby and our little 1 year old. Loved waking in the morning with sun coming over the mountains in front. House very tidy and everything we needed. Was very child friendly, no steps and he loved the horses and sheep came up to greet us. Would definitely stay here again
Just a short drive into Kangaroo Valley and a wonderful stay with horses, sheep and cows in easy view. Even got to cuddled the puppies from a new litter and loved the sounds of goats in the morning. The house was private, super clean and comfortable. Thank you:)

Reviewer Comments:
Our stay at Wild Rose was wonderful, the views from the balcony and were spectacular, the animals on the property such a highlight for our children who spent most of the time outside watching and patting the horses and sheep. A short distance to the cafes / shops. A wonderful relaxing long weekend. Thank you
Beautiful property and location with minor recommendations
Wild Rose Cottage is perfectly located with the most outstanding views of Kangaroo Valley. The house is big and well equipped. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing we could fault was the large amount of bird droppings on the deck, which could have been washed off as it was right next to the outdoor table. We couldn't light the BBQ as there was no gas on the first night and we were told to go to the petrol station and swap it ourselves and we would get a refund. Not ideal and something that could be avoided by lifting the bottle to check how much gas is left or storing a spare. These things would not deter us from staying there again - it was magnificent.

great find in KV
This property had 3 houses on it, and we booked all 3. We had a wonderful stay and the property is excellent, so many positives, the views/outlook, clean a wonderful place to stay. (The only negative is that the water pressure was virtually non existant so we had trickle showers!) but the properties themselves are fantastic.

Lovely weekend away
We stayed at the wild rose cottage for two nights, the stay was very nice and memorable. The cottage was modern, well organised, very comfortable and made us feel at home as we walked in. The location of the cottage with the views of the valley and wildlife made a beautiful addition to the stay. We would definitely come back and stay at the cottage again!
