Wonderful all the way around. The owner is delightful and provided many personal touches to make our stay special. The property is immaculate and pleasant. We enjoyed spending time on the deck, dock, and boathouse deck. We look forward to coming back in the future.
This is our second stay at this beautiful cottage. We plan to make it an annual stay. Cozy is the word I use to describe it. Jane is the absolute best host!
We had the perfect girls weekend. It was a great getaway for a group of busy moms. The host shared great recommendations on shops and had homemade chocolate chip cookies for us when we arrived- they were delicious. Thanks for everything!
We had a lovely stay despite a rainy weekend. We enjoyed all of the board games provided. The cottage is beautiful and cozy. Jane is a great host! We will come back to enjoy the lake and sunshine next time.
I celebrated my birthday at the Enchanted Cottage this week and it was perfect! Such a beautiful place to relax. Even went kayaking for the first time!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Pictures don't do justice of how beautiful this cottage is. We made wonderful memories and plan to stay here again as we had such a great time!
Our stay in the Stone Cottage was just what we needed. We baked in the beautiful and well-appointed kitchen, crafted at the counter, finished a jigsaw puzzle, walked on the frozen lake, and read by the fire. Our beds were comfortable and helped us get some much needed rest. We had a beautiful and rejuvenating weekend in this special space.
the cottage was like something out of a movie. Lake Sylvia is the perfect lake for this VRBO, Quiet, clean, lots to do around the area or just sit back and enjoy the view. Jane and Ted are awesome hosts and they take care of their place for others to enjoy. We will be back. Thank you very much for sharing it with my friend and I who celebrated there 40 years of friendship.
Great communication, the hosts made sure we were greeted and had a tour of the cottage before starting our relaxing weekend getaway.
We had everything we needed and more, all in a wonderful setting. It wasn't a disappointment when a storm moved in; we made dinner, used the fireplace, played games, and did a puzzle.
We will certainly return!
What a beautiful view and location! My cousins and I had a girls weekend here. You really have to watch the water useage, but otherwise it was fairly clean. There is no lack of things to do; puzzles, games, kayaking, lake fun, fire pit, movies, books, about 6 minutes from South Haven.
We didn't do alot outside since it was cool and windy, but we enjoyed the games and fireplace!
I will keep this in mind for a family vacation in the future for sure!
My husband and I enjoyed a winter weekend getaway at this adorable cottage. PERFECT COZY VIBES! We had fun staying in and playing games, but we also got out and explored what the nearby towns had to offer. Enjoyed a yummy dinner at Son of a Butcher in Kimball - very cool place. Had breakfast at the Homestyle Country Cafe in Annandale. And we bummed around the shops in Buffalo and grabbed a drink at the Thirsty Buffalo. The host, Jane, was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. We'd love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and the outdoor spaces at the cottage!
I have no words to describe this beautiful cottage. It was much more than we expected; the pictures don't do it justice.
First of all, we loved the fact it was less than an hour and a half drive for us. (coming from south suburbs of the TC) When we drove up, it looked like something out of a fairy tale book. Jane was there to greet us when we arrived. She showed us around and gave us some great tips on restaurants in the area.
There are many outside areas to enjoy;
the patio over the boat house,
the fire pit, the deck, the beach. All were well kept.
The inside of the cottage is so cozy and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you need. Jane must have had a wonderful time decorating. She did a fabulous job of creating an inviting and homey feeling.
There is nothing negative I can say about the cottage. Or Jane - she's a great host!
The cottage was clean and cozy! We had everything we needed. Being able to sit by the water all day was so peaceful. We enjoyed every moment!! We will be back!!! Thank you Jane you were an amazing host!
We had such a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts we needed — from a fully stocked kitchen to thoughtful little touches throughout.Jane was incredibly gracious and welcoming — we were even greeted with a batch of delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, which was such a sweet and personal touch. It really set the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. The location was peaceful and scenic, perfect for enjoying quiet mornings with coffee or a book on the porch swing and cozy evenings by the fireplace. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a base for exploring the area, this cottage is a true gem. We’re already looking forward to coming back!
This cottage is the perfect cozy getaway. This is my second time staying here and it was even more magical than the first time! Will definitely be back again!
A bunch of us friends stayed for the weekend. The weather was cold and grey but we were warm and cozy and comfortable. Great spaces, kitchen, and views. We’re already dreaming of our next visit.
Great getaway for my wife and me. Very neat cottage! Jane had some homemade choc chip cookies ready for us when we arrived! They were fabulous! We played lots of cards in front of the fireplace. So relaxing! We would most definitely stay here again h would most definitely stay h afain!!

About the host
Hosted by Jane and Ted Klein
My husband and I had found an old cottage that sat next to the waters edge with an amazing setting of big mature trees and old stone walls and we couldn't resist the water clarity on beautiful Lake Sylvia- it's like a swimming pool all summer long. The cottage was in pretty rough shape so we built a new cottage with the vision of an English cottage that appears to have been there for years. It truly feels like an escape when we are there and has given us many wonderful memories. We hope you choose to stay and create memories of your own.
