Great long weekend in upper Lower Peninsula, Michigan
The house was exceptional for the price: very clean, comfortable, and great location in Boyne City. Good restaurants, Sat. live music, lakes, wineries, hiking (SkyBridge and other locations) for three retired people.

We liked this property most for the separate living room/tv areas. The ability to bring our dogs and have a fenced in backyard was also a bonus. Close to everything we need. We will definitely book next summer if available.

Awesome Vacation House!
We had a great time on our vacation. The house was very clean and organized. The beds are so comfortable. The huge TV was nice for watching movies and playing video games. But the best part was the backyard, it was great for grilling, sitting around a bonfire, and playing bags/corn hole.We loved the location. We walked into town for coffee and ice cream, and to the beach! It is just a 5 minute drive to Young State Park on Lake Charlevoix, and just 30 minutes to Petoskey and Charlevoix, including Fisherman’s Island State Park on Lake Michigan. There are Pickleball courts at the park in town, and also in Charlevoix. There are many wineries nearby too!We will definitely book again and cannot wait to get back to Boyne City and Northern Michigan.

From the owner: "Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed our home and the surrounding areas of Lake Charlevoix!"
We were in town to attend a family wedding at Deer lake and the location was perfect. The house was very clean. The description and pictures were accurate. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and our yellow lab. It was so nice to be able to bring her along. The kitchen seemed well stocked although we did not cook during our brief trip. The s'more fixings were a nice touch. We did enjoy a family game night and many food options in Boyne City. As noted in the description, this house does not have central air. We are frequent travelers to Northern Michigan and it is rarely needed. Overall, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay!

Great house close to Boyne Mountain
Spacious accommodations! Very close to downtown and Boyne Mountain. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of. We appreciated all the extra blankets available. The thermostat wasn’t user friendly and it was programmed to drop to 62 degrees during the day and at night so it did get cold in the house since it was below zero outside.

Response from VrboOwner on 20 Feb 2026
From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback. It is good to hear from our guests, and that they are happy with our Boyne City home! In regard to the thermostat, it should not have any settings. It can only be increased or decreased manually. We really wish you had reached out to us! We could have walked through it with you.
Our snow removal company has been working very hard to keep the driveway clear, unfortunately the city plow does come by randomly, and there may have been heavier snow at the bottom. It has been a very snowy winter
Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention."
