The property was beautiful with gorgeous views and the property manager was very quick to reply to any and all questions. Beautiful place to stay and get away if you need to rest and recharge.
Lovely cabin stay! If you want to get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors, this is the perfect place. Very clean and has everything you need.
Such an amazing retreat! The owner (T) was great and super helpful. My friends and I have never had such a restful fishing trip before this place. 10 stars if we could!

Restful escape
We had a lovely time. We intentionally chose a location tucked away from the world with no Wi-Fi or TV in order to be able to focus on each other and bond as a family. This perfectly fit the bill. We enjoyed s’mores around the campfire, fishing at the river, and playing endless games together around the table. The location allowed for some easy day trips to Stearns Beach, Hamlin Lake, the Big Sable Lighthouse, and hiking in the Manistee National Forest. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! Wonderful family memories were made.
Wonderful outdoor setting on a bluff above the Pere Marquette river east of Ludington. Really nice setting and comfortable cabin. Seclusion and a very nice setting as a get away trip. Turkeys, eagles, all kinds of woodland birds, owls, rising trout and the list goes on. It was very quiet as there were no fishermen on the river and the expected bugs were not active at all. The cabin is quaint and a bit small in regard to bedrooms, but this is the real old woods cabin that takes you to a peaceful mindset as you leave the loud city world behind. For my wife and I it was a great fit.

Response from VrboOwner on 20 May 2025
From the owner: "So happy to have you, David! You are welcome any time. If there is anything we can do to make your stay a 5-star next time, reaching out by texting my cell is the most effective. Have a great summer!"
We had a very nice stay in a cabin that has been updated. Our stay was affected by others who had discarded filleted fish carcasses by the cabin which reaked. I believe it was previous renters, but it made spending any time outdoors - which is why we were there - quite unpleasant. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time. We just made sure we were away from the cabin proper.
