Villa 21 Cabot

Built in 1906 this newly renovated 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home is truly a golfer's paradise. Located directly on the 2nd hole of Cabot Links, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the course while relaxing on the back deck. It's a short walk to the beach, and you can even cut through the golf course in the evenings. Our home is also only steps away from the resort and all the towns amenities. Come and enjoy the spectacular sunsets and the serenity of Inverness Nova Scotia.
The space
Welcome to our historic Inverness coal miner Company House. Built in 1906 and tastefully updated in 2022, our home proudly bears the character of its age, so it's best suited for those who appreciate the quirks and charm of older homes. We're situated on the 2nd hole of Cabot Links golf course and offer a modest yet lovely view of the ocean and fairways. Our accommodations can host up to 6 guests.

Steps away from the Cabot Links Pro Shop and Cabot Public House, you can enjoy the incredible sunsets directly behind the house in mid-summer. Our open concept kitchen is equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare delicious meals. It comes complete with a kitchen island, refrigerator, range, microwave oven, glassware, dishes, small appliances, silverware, pots and pans, and the basic utensils. We’ve also provided a shared washer and dryer and clothesline for your convenience.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms and a full bathroom with shower. There are queen beds in two bedrooms upstairs and bunk beds in the third bedroom. We have provided you with extra linens and towels for your comfort.

Located right next to Villa 22. Rent both for larger groups or families who want to be close together.

Good, clean place with a nice view, well stocked kitchen. Some weird partial power outages for no apparent reason both nights and a lack of screens on several windows are the only reason I am giving less than five stars.

We were first to stay at this property for the season, there were a few kinks but Bill was responsive and fair. Here is what is important. The queen bed and bunk room matresses are really comfortable. Adequate towels and sheets etc. The house was clean.Bring your own stuff, milk, sugar, coffee, salt and pepper. Its bare bones, but the price is good. If you want 5 star go to Cabot. The view and location are amazing. Its an old duplex and you share the patio, but that's OK. Everyone should be friendly, its Cape Breton and the golf is amazing!!

We loved staying at this location! We are not golfers but if you are a golfer it is right next to a golf course. Ocean view from the back yard. Very spacious! We were up for a family reunion and was able to host a few other family members on the last day. Just be prepared to share the outdoor deck, chairs and picnic table with your neighbors since it is a shared space for the complex. Our neighbors were very friendly and nice! We were not at the location much due to planned activities with the reunion. It worked out great. Just a short walk or drive to the beach down the road. We walked to the restaurant toward the beach and they served 11 of us on the deck while the sun went down (bring bug spray, lots of mosquitoes). Grocery store is up the street and also other shops and liquor store. The Inverness horse racing track is 3 min drive. That's a unique experience and so glad we were able to take it in! Such a beautiful spot!

Myself and best friend rented this property for 2 nights. We both brought our children. It was a very reasonable rate compared to other properties we looked at. We were not looking for luxury, just a comfortable place to stay while we explored Inverness. Pros: there is a lot of cupboard space in the kitchen, beds were comfortable, shared laundry room, nice fireplace, beautiful view of the beach/sunset. The cleaner found my daughter's wallet under her bed. She was very kind and honest and express posted it to us. You can walk to Inverness beach easily. The beach is handy and the water was warm! Cons- it can get warm without AC and there wasnt a screen on the upstairs window. There were too many bugs to have it open. There was a fan though. The deck was also a shared space, which might not work for some groups. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay there again

Great Location, Very enjoyable stay!

Stayed at the villa for a wedding in Inverness. Overlooking the Cabot Links, excellent back deck for relaxing while watching the waves roll in to the beach in the distance. Newly renovated and all the necessary amenities you would need. Highly recommend the Villa for a stay again!

This property was in a great location with a wonderful view. You could tell that some updates had been done because this is a very old home. Unfortunately the place was not clean … hand prints all over the patio door, used moldy paper towel in the cupboard, the window frames were filthy dirty, used Kleenex on the window ledge and to top it off mushrooms growing in the corner outside of the shower door. The shower floor was like a sponge and my husband thought he was going to go through the floor and land in the living room. Before we left I wanted to sweep the floor… found the broom and was quite gross. Floors would be worst after sweeping. The listing shows shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower, they were there but all empty. There were no screens in most of the windows and the patio door so could not air out the place. There was nasty smell throughout the house. I messaged the host asking if the place had a bbq and A/C. It took exactly 1 month to answer. No A/C so brought our own fan. We paid for a cleaning fee so I expect the place to be clean when we arrived. Very disappointed. Was not worth the price we paid.

The pictures of the listing flatter the property substantially. I would not recommend this property to anyone either getting on in years or with mobility issues. The bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are difficult.

The view to the ocean was great, but for the price, this was a disappointment. The house smelled like sewage masked by glade plug ins. No screens on the windows, so it was a challenge to air out. Cleaning fee paid, but sand all over the floors. Bring everything you need to cook, simple amenities not provided such as coffee and S&P. Not worth the price.

Small fixes required

To start off with was not given the correct address of the property. Could use Villa # in front. Wi-Fi password was not correct. No ice. No screens on windows. No handrail on a dangerous staircase. No front door mat. All small fixes for sure. Otherwise we loved the place! Cozy spot! Had a lot of fun for sure. Thank you.

A short walk to Inverness Beach

It was comfortable for our group. The stairs going to the bedrooms were a bit steep but the 3 seniors managed. The first floor bathroom was very convenient. The kitchen was beautiful with new and upgraded fridge and stove. The only thing missing is a kitchen table and chairs for us card players. The island with the stools provided a great view towards the water for our meals. We had mostly good weather and used the deck and walk to the beach frequently. The location on the Cabot trail is a great location to travel to other spots- Margaret, Port Hood, Cheticamp, etc. They are still are doing upgrades and finishing but for an old miners home of 100 plus years, very cozy on cool nights We would return.
