Beach house

The house was little ruff inside , fire place wasn’t working , electric wires sticking out carpet was dirty , hair on the bathroom floors sliding door screen wasn’t working properly getting stuck all the time , on side the of house bricks were not even tripping hazard.,rocking chair in living was broken tilting to one side , pillows on couch smelled dirty and musky

Nice but needs some work

It's a nice house with a great view. There were multiple appliances that either didn't work or didn't work properly like the refrigerator. The deck is in serious need of repair. The host was informed of the work that needs to be done so hopefully the next guests will have a better experience than we did.

View is wonderful if they keep the windows clean

I had communication with the owner throughout about needing the windows cleaned and some chairs for the deck to enjoy the view at least that way. They brought some chairs so that my older mother in law could enjoy the view not being able to walk as easily. We really appreciated that. I found supplies in the garage and cleaned the large front windows on day 3 of our five day stay. This was after two days of the assurances that a vendor is coming to take care of it. ! This was my vacation task. Glad I could help. I am obviously being a little snarky but the windows were so dirty that any cleaning crew or the owner would notice it and CARE ABOUT SEEING THE VIEW when that is what you are ADVERTISING and selling. Not my job to clean the windows. Thanks. Overall the place works well for larger groups. The place could use some updates and a crew during turnover that makes sure the place is ready. Including making sure you can see the spectacular view. It was spectacular and I wished we all could have enjoyed it during our entire stay.

Spacious, clean, and calm place to vacation

We enjoyed walking on the beach, playing games, making cards, and baking. Nice indoor space for when the rain comes down. Beautiful view of the ocean.

Great location, nice property

The house is in an excellent location on Roads End. It is a nice house overall, however the windows and deck windows were very dirty/fogged up to where we didn't have much of a view. We cleaned a few of them up some to see out better but they all could use a good cleaning. The rest of the property could use a better cleaning as well, pet hairs under the couch and just overall not as clean as we would have liked. Other than those issues, it was a nice place and great stay!

A great retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed over Thanksgiving 2021. The location and view can’t be beat. I chose this location mainly because of the downstairs bedroom for one of our family members who can’t do stairs. The kitchen was well stocked, there’s plenty of room for everyone, and the furniture is comfortable. That being said, it wasn’t perfect. The fireplace didn’t work, the housecleaner did a great job on the floors, cabinets and beds in the house, but if you looked up the walls, picture frames and pot rack were covered in cobwebs and dust. Also, we learned partway through our stay that the upstairs shower had a small leak or something into the laundry room down below that was obvious had been going on for a while because of the dark spots and paint discoloration on the laundry room ceiling. Once we learned that, we stopped using the shower upstairs and left maintenance a note since it was a holiday weekend and there isn’t reliable cell service or a landline here. All in all, we had a great stay but not quite the luxury we were hoping for at that price.

The view of the ocean was spectacular and there was plenty of seating for the 6 of us. The house, sadly, was not cleaned well. There was cat hair on the couches and dining room table. There was a mostly empty cat food can on the floor. Due to Covid and immunocompromised family members, we wiped down surfaces and found counters, railings, and chairs were not clean. There was a clean load of dishes in the dishwasher. Plenty of towels, but could have used some extra blankets. We found for four nights, the provided supply of paper products and soaps/detergents to be just right. Overall, we were happy we stayed here, but wish it had been cleaner to start.

Nice large family room area we used for a small birthday party.The house was a bit run down, pretty dirty in a lost of the rooms but bedrooms were clean. This is obviously a well used property as the cabinets throughout should have been replaced or repaired years ago. Couple of cabinets had broken door latches so they were almost falling off. I would recommend this place to others, but the price versus the quality did not match up.

The corners of the ceilings had spider webs and there was a lot of dust under the furniture. Other than that it was a beautiful home and had all the amenities we needed. I would rent again for another girl's week.

As we walked in, the windows in the upstairs and downstairs could not be seen through. We found a hose and after washing, it was spectacular. Wanted to be able to walk out to the beach easier, but was as discribed.. next time we will request sand access.

Disappointed - TLC Greatly Needed

Pictures are years old. The property is tired and in need of repairs and an overall refresh. My greatest disappointment was the SubZero refrigerator did not work properly or at all. Made multiple calls to OBV and although a very nice maintenance man visited the property, ultimately, the refrigerator was never repaired. Food was lost and our overall experienced severely challenged. I would not recommend this location to anyone until the property is brought back to asserted expectations.

We noticed the need for a handrail at the front entrance. I had to have someone to help me up the steps. (I prefer to be independent!) I did not go up to the second floor,but the others wished for better carpet. They told me that it was badly worn and stained. However, they appreciated the cleanliness of everything. I have reserved it for the same time next year, so you can assume that we loved it!

Great home for a larger group with kids

The house easily slept 3 couples and 4 more using the trundle beds. The house was fairly clean and in good shape. Highlights were that is a 5-minute walk to beach access, and we were able to go tide pooling one morning. Kitchen is well equipped though very unorganized, way too many cooking utensils so hard to find cooking implements. We enjoyed the games and puzzles. I was surprised to find a drip coffeemaker as it is not mentioned in the description, and I had asked about this as was told there is not one. There were filters for this coffeemaker. I had called for an early check in for our arrival day and got that but did not know I needed a different code. Called and got immediate help.We were disappointed that the wine fridge did not appear to work, the propane talk was empty for the grill, and we only had 4 kitchen towels for a group of 10 that was cooking all our meals. A Dishrack would have been a big help. Bring your own paper towels and napkins as there was only one roll. There was also only a small amount of dish soap, so we had to buy more. The house could use the cobwebs cleared out and many cabinets painted due to wear in both the bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen utensils could use cleaned out as there were too many.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time on the coast, went to see family. Stumbled upon Oregon Beach Vacations when looking for a house. They helped pick this one. could not be happier with them and the house. all went great. Most of the houses ,because of the coast are a little worn on the outside, but the inside and views of this house were exceptional. It was well stocked with things, cooking, blankets, games, movies etc. Great access to Roads End State Park. The Chinhook Casino down the road. That was alot of fun. Previous reviews say no air, but it does, but the weather is so cool up there you could probably go with out. The pictures are very accurate. Will probably rent again. Lincoln City is a little bigger then the other towns along the coast, so a few more choices of places to eat. We spent our time exploring the rest of the coast.

Family fun

Loved all except getting in the house! Key lock and key pad wouldn't work. We were on hold then disconnected multiple times. Tired, hungry kids wanted in house! Took 45 minutes to get into house! TV didn't work. Other than that we loved the house!!

Lovely beach house with beautiful view

This is a comfortable, clean, spacious house which our whole family enjoyed. We would recommend stocking the house with more toilet paper (3 rolls total for 10 people for 5 days was not enough). In the kitchen it would be helpful to have more dish towels and more dishwasher detergent (4 pods for 5 days are not enough with a family cooking and eating at the house). We enjoyed the sand toys which were provided too.
