HOME TO KICKING HORSE MOUNTAIN RESORT & BOO (our Grizzly bear)!

Enjoy a BRIGHT & SPACIOUS WALKOUT BASEMENT only 5KMS SOUTH OF GOLDEN with a new luxury hot tub!

Emerge yourself in all that Golden has to offer YEAR ROUND. Epic scenery, breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains & some of the best mountain biking, skiing & snowmobiling trails. Just minutes to rafting & the Columbia River, Golden Skybridge & Zipline.

Drive & enjoy the beauty of 3 of Canada’s National Parks: Yoho, Banff & Glacier. Our house is situated on a corner lot in the quiet neighborhood of Habart with undeniable stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, Purcell Mountains and the Columbia River.

Enjoy a BBQ on the best of days, take a soak in a new luxury hot tub and also enjoy our fire pit as well that is fully operational when accessible as long as there isn't a fire ban.

We have lots of space in our car port if you choose to bring your bikes and take advantage of our many biking trails.

We also have space for a sled/quad/side by side trailer for those who want to cruise through our back 40! Please ask for more info on trails! It's soo much fun!

We are located 15 minutes away from a well-groomed 18-hole Golden Golf course which has a putting green and driving range available. We also have disc golf and mini golf for those who enjoy the other varieties of golf.

We are 25 minutes away from our popular Kicking Horse Mountain Resort where you will enjoy downhill skiing, Nordic skiing & snowshoeing in the winters as well as a large variety of hiking & biking trails within a short drive in the Summer. Come visit our local grizzly bear Boo too :)

This was the perfect place for my friends and I to stay outside of the national parks in a smaller town. The home was very clean and well organized. It had anything we could have thought of needing. A great stay. The property was clean and very comfy. We enjoed the big screen tv. Lots to do in the area, namely the Golden Sky bridge, Emerald Lake, Tekakkaw Falls and Boo the Grizzley Bear on thr Kicking Hirse Mountain. Spacious Retreat

Our stay at the Cozy Country Mountain Nest was fantastic. Tracy and Wayne have created a space that is ideal for unwinding after a busy day in the Golden area. The bright and spacious suite was spotless and well organized. We loved how all the drawers were labelled so we didn’t have to search for items. The kitchen was well stocked and we didn’t miss a thing. We were in Golden during a very hot and dry spell but the Cozy Country Mountain Nest stayed cool and comfortable the whole time. We highly recommend staying here.

Owning the family home, we can't be more happy to allow others to experience the mountains like we do. We love hosting and sharing stories on how this home was built and what you can enjoy in the Golden and surrounding area.

Why they chose this property

Habart is a quiet and family friendly neighborhood that is nested between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountains. You'll be in a small town but in close proximity to a large range of things to do. Hiking, rafting, sky diving, gliding, mountain biking, swimming and much more in the summer months. Skiing or snowboarding, exploring the back 40 on your snowmobile or snow shoeing, ice climbing and more in the winter months. At the end of the day, rest in a new luxury hot tub to finish the day off :)
