House Rules (must meet these to book): Sleeps 8 (max 6 adults), Up to 2 well-behaved pets are welcome (cats or dogs), Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own outdoor towels, A post-departure cleaning service is provided; however, the cottage must be left in a tidy condition, Garbage and recycling removal is provided prior to departure is required, Lead guest must be 30+ years, no parties allowed. Please note that, according to the municipality's bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.

Things you need to know:

The far side of the dock, away from the beach/waterfront, will have the owner's boat. Please note the boat is not for guest use.
Cottage has a Western exposure
Up to 2 well-behaved pets are welcome (cats or dogs)
Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own outdoor towels
A post-departure cleaning service is provided; however, the departure checklist must be completed


Waterfront
Sandy beach with walk-in entry to sandy, shallow water. Or, go in from the dock to deep water for great swimming. Water shoes are recommended in case of the odd stone or zebra muscle

Close-By Attractions

Ennismore Waterfront Park. Covering over 50 acres on the shores of Chemong Lake, this park has a beach and a large picnic area with a pavilion and swimming area. The Ennismore Heritage Trail is a main feature of this park, and there's now a disc golf course. (10 mins)

Riverview Park and Zoo, Peterborough. Unique facility offering attractions to people of all ages. In the summer you can ride the miniature train, play disk golf, enjoy the splash pad, and of course view the animals. Winter activities include cross country skiing or snow shoeing through the riverside picnic areas (there are no groomed ski trails), and tobogganing. (25 mins)

Emily Provincial Park. Provincial park offering fishing, boating, paddling, and swimming, with watercraft rentals onsite. (25 mins)

Wanderlight Alpaca Experience, Lakefield. Offering up close and personal alpaca experiences on the rolling hills of this farm. Be sure to explore the beautiful town of Lakefield while you’re in the neighbourhood! (30 mins)

Peterborough Lift Lock National Historic Site.One of only two hydraulic lift locks on the waterway, in operation since 1904. (30 mins)
