Vanna's elegant downtown place (direct airport line) is ideally located in the heart of Athens but away from the business area, near "Hilton", " Divani Caravel" Hotels, 1 metro stop to the main down-town square "Syntagma", and 2 stops to the "Acropolis", "Plaka", "Monastiraki" and other main sights, 5 min. from "University campus". The Concert music Hall called "Megaron Mousikis" is also 1 metro stop away.
"Evangelismos", the nearest metro station is a 10-15min. walk from apartment.
Touristic down-town area is also accessible on foot in 30 min for the athletic souls and not only. Direct metro line from/to the airport. Also Xpress-95 bus that runs 24/7 ( strongly recommended).

Nice stay in Athens

We enjoyed our stay because the apartment is very confortable, not far from bus and subway stations. We found everything we needed. It was also good to visit Athens in winter.

Lovely, well equipped apartment,centrally located, within walking distance of major attractions.

Great apartment, small but perfect for 2/3 people. We were impressed by Vanna, she picked us up from the airport, was extremely helpful in all aspects of our stay, and along with her husband, provided us with a tour itinerary for our road trip around the Peloponnese. I would stay again. There are numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, shops and small supermarkets on your door step. We walked to all the tourist destinations, it took about 20mins. to get to Syntagma Square. The metro is close by, and by far the best way to get to the airport. The traffic in Athens is heavy! All in all a wonderful experience. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Thanks Vanna, hope to see you again someday. Harry and Elizabeth UK

Comfort and Hospitality

Our stay in Athens was wonderful thanks to Vanna and her wonderful hospitality. The apartment is very comfortable, it has everything you need. The kitchen, bathroom are equipped in the best way. The apartment is near the metro and near the center. In the first evening in Athen we went to the hill Lycabettus, the best place for viewing the city, which is very close to our apartment. It was a magical vision! Vanna was very kind, when she met us with heavy suitcases and tired children and drove the car to the apartment. We all really enjoyed it and we will definitely return to Athens and stop again at Vanna!

A nice stay in Athens

L'appartement de Vanna est très bien placé pour qui veut vivre la vie athénienne le temps d'un séjour. Près du centre et à l'abri des touristes, on trouve tout dans le quartier. Je conseille particulièrement les tavernes de Kaissariani. Près de très beaux musées également et du métro. L'appartement est très propre, bien équipé et accueillant. Nous y retournerons.

Near the old center of the city

Vanna, the owner was very helpful to insure our stay in Athens was memorable. She sent us directions and information about how to find her apartment. The apartment photos that were published on VRBO accurate. Vanna met us at the apartment and went over the house rules and answered our remaining questions. The heat in the apartment was not working the day we arrived and we had to use the a/c unit for heat. The heat was fixed the next day, but took about 24 hours to make the apartment comfortable. After the heating system was fixed, it began making very loud noises that continued for the length of our stay. The location of this apartment is about a mile from the closest metro; which is not a problem for those who enjoy walking. Their are two small grocery stores close by that can supply whatever you may need and as others have said the bakery that is just across the street is wonderful. A note...the bed is very firm and the pillows were flat, and we had trouble getting a good nights' sleep on it. This could be fixed by adding a mattress topper on top of it and having extra fluffy pillows in the closet to change out. This apartment is a good value and even with the heating problems, we would stay here again.

I am really sorry about the heating problem and that you were the first guests to experience the change of the heating system from central to autonomous.The noise was a complication that was unexpected and it couldn't be fixed immediately because of the Christmas holidays. The company took care of it as soon as they came back to work. Thank you for your remarks about the bed and pillows because in that way I know what needs to be fixed, changed or improved to meet every guest's taste. I will take care of it after the holidays. Very nice apartment

The apartment was clean and well equipped. The location was good but a little farther away from the metro than we expected. The pastry shop across the street was wonderful and the market around the corner was convenient. Our only problem with our stay was that the wifi and phone were not in service. Although we did not need the international phone use we did need the wifi. Vanna was helpful arranging for us to use the the wifi at a nearby coffee shop. Not as convenient as having it in the apartment but we made it work. We really appreciated Vanna coming to meet us at the Hilton Hotel which was not to far from the metro station. She then drove us to the apartment. The Caravel and Hilton Hotels are a bit farther away than described but all in all the location of the apartment was fine. We would recommend the apartment to friends/family and would stay there again.

Vanna's place in Athens

I was very impressed with our stay at Vanna's. I would recommend her place as a place for my family and friends to stay when traveling to Greece. The apartment was spacious and very clean and Vanna was the perfect host. She was very accommodating and personable and even walked us the bus stop to make sure we could find it. She also supplied us with wine, small snacks, laundry soap and bath soap which we really appreciated. The apartment is about a 30-45 min walk to the acropolis and the agora, a 10 min walk to the subway and right by a bus stop. We also took uber one night to Gazi and it was only a €4 ride, so transportation is not a problem. Thank you Vanna for making our stay so special!

Very nice, cosy place for couple/ small family

Vanna's property is an excellent, cost effective way of staying pretty close to the center of Athens. We were there with our three children (9,11,13) and it was perfect for us. If the children had been much older/bigger it would have been a squeeze but it worked well for us. The nearest metro station is a 10 minute walk away but even in Athens in August it didn't feel too far. The property has everything you need in it and the shops in the immediate vicinity cover all necessities. A great little place

Perfect!

We could not have found a better place than Vanna's place for our stay in Athens. Vanna took time out of her hectic schedule to meet us, show us the apartment, and give us advice on the neighborhood. The apartment is near enough to the tourist areas to walk (at most a thirty-minute walk to Syntagma or the foot of Lycabettus hill), but is in a real neighborhood where you get to see how the locals live. There is a convenience store and a wonderful pastry shop within a stone's throw of the apartment, and a bakery and grill just a few steps further. The Evangelismos Metro station is less than a ten-minute walk, and is on a direct line east to the airport or west to Syntagma or Monastiraki. The Caravel Hotel is just down the street, so taxis are plentiful. The apartment was spotlessly clean, recently renovated, and has everything needed to make a meal, coffee, tea or espresso. Vanna even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome! The balcony is small, but a lovely place to enjoy coffee, baklava, or a glass of wine in the evening. For less money than even the hotels on the fringe of the tourist areas, we enjoyed having a full apartment, a friendly hostess, plenty of privacy, and time out of the hectic tourist district. We hope to return for our next trip to Greece! Thank you, Vanna!

Minneapolis women loved it!

Vanna is awesome! Her apartment is everything promised and more. It was actually larger than I expected so it was plenty of space for my adult daughter and me. We did not use the kitchen but it was well stocked. It was sweet that there was a bottle of wine in the bedroom waiting for me :) We were there a very short time but I seemed to be a nice neighborhood we also felt safe at night. We walked from the apartment to all the major sites. (we like to walk) The bed was a bit firm for my taste but the couch was awesome. Also at night it is a bit noisy but I don't live in a city so I am not used to the traffic noise. Overall our experience was excellent and I would go back again in a heartbeat! Thanks again Vanna!

Générosité, gentillesse, superbe accueil !

L'appartement est tel que vous le voyez sur les photos avec en plus un accueil, une générosité, une gentillesse de la part de la propriétaire, Vanna, qui fera certainement la différence avec d'autres locations. Vanna donne de bons conseils et est vraiment à la disposition de ces invités. L'appartement est très bien entretenu avec tout le nécessaire voire plus puisque les placards et le réfrigérateur ne sont pas vides. Il est également bien situé, le bus est à quelques mètres et vous pouvez directement aller au métro à pied environ moins de 10 minutes qui vous mènera au cœur de la ville (syntagma) avec le quartier qu'il ne faut pas louper PLAKA (monasteraki), et à deux stations de l'Acropole (Akropolis). Dans le quartier de l'appartement à environ 10 minutes (dont un à 3 minutes) vous tomberez sur une petite place avec des restaurants très sympas et tres locaux. En gros il y a tout ce qu'il faut !!! Bon séjour :)

Perfect Athens stay

Even before we arrived, we knew Vanna's place would be good for us. Rather than reply to my inquiry via email, Vanna picked up the phone and called me! That sealed the deal immediately. What a great apartment! Perfectly clean and furnished. Looks just like the photos. The lovely Vanna met us, even though it was late on a Saturday night, with candlelight, wine and snacks. Before we arrived, she warned us that shops wouldn't be open on Sunday, so she asked us for a shopping list so she could get what we needed for the first couple of days. So thoughtful. It was great to have juice, fruit, bread and eggs Sunday morning. It was so nice to have the washing machine in the apartment. Vanna has a drying rack and everything dried overnight. We ate many meals on the bright patio, enjoying the world passing us by. The neighborhood is nice. All the local vendors speak English. Even in the open market on Fridays, the veggie, fruit and fish guys all spoke enough to sell us what we wanted. Oh, the produce and the fish -- so fresh and beautifully displayed! The wine store on the corner sells American ground coffee, though they call filter coffee "French coffee." The staff there will point you to good Greek wines at reasonable prices. Stop into the cake shop on the corner for traditional Greek pastries. They sell whole cakes, but their single servings are enough for 2. We enjoyed the newly opened CTG Urban Gastronomy restaurant down Diochorous Street toward the Hilton. Very fine dining from the chef, Alex, who worked at Norma's in Copenhagen. Vanna phoned several times during our 2-week stay to make sure all was well. We couldn't have been better situated!

Very nice place to stay

After the airline lost our luggage, we were worried our four night stay at Vanna's place would be stricken with bad luck. Fortunately, with Vanna's help and attention, our luck did a 180. Without her, we would have lost an entire day dealing with the lost bag. The place is charming and in a good location.

Perfect rental with all the necessities

This apartment was great in the fact that it had Vanna, who was willing to meet and take us to the apartment when we arrived. She always answered back emails promptly and had lots of good advice on our visit to Athens. The apartment was awesome in that it had internet, American television for down times, and a phone to call internationally. The hot water stayed warm enough and the surrounding environment wasn't loud while sleeping. The market was right around the corner and there was an adorable bakery too. Thank you Vanna for your warm welcoming and I mean it if you are ever in Seattle, WA you have a place to stay :).

Highly recommended

This is a great place to stay. A nice cozy apartment with all the amenities one needs. We stayed there with a family of 5 (were charge only for 4 people!) and had plenty of space. We liked the location on a quieter street in a nice neighborhood with bakery and supermarkets just around the corner. Vanna is a very nice and helpful host who even picked us up from the metro station when we arrived with our all luggage. We hope to back some day!

Comfortable and Convenient

The apartment was very comfortable and exactly what we had hoped for our stay in Athens. The owner/host was super helpful and friendly. Public transport was easy to use and relatively close. Parking was fairly easy. Everything worked , plenty of hot water and heat. Great restaurants within a 5 minute walk, a quiet coffee shop around the corner, and THE best bakery ever right outside the entrance. If we ever go back to Athens we would confidently stay here again.

Nice Vanna

We stayed two weeks at Vanna's place. Well,conveniently equipped apartment. With a two-7day pass,transportation was no problem(221,224,250 bus and metro) no need to take taxis. Friday open market on next block was great. Enjoyed so much fresh foods. Highly recommend for stay. Above all English speaking Vanna is so nice.

My husband and I stayed at Vanna's apartment 4 nights in mid October and really enjoyed it. The apartment has everything you need to feel at home: confortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, good hot water pressure for the shower and washing machine. It is clean and well maintained. The neighbourhood is very nice and safe , we walked everywhere at all hours, only 10 minutes to the subway or 30 minutes to Syntagma Square. Vanna is a wonderful host, she offered to help with our planning of the trip and gave us good advice when we arrived. Thank you.

We are Spyros, Vanna, George and Helena, 23years and 20y old children. We are both in our 50's. I lived in Los Angeles for many years and I used to teach the English language here in Greece. My husband works for the city Hall and also installs awnings. We bought this apartment as an investment and at first it was rented out by the year. After the last render left we decided to renovate it and turn it into a vacation rental. It took us a long time to fix it and furnish it but it was worth it because it has turned into a cozy getaway that adequately fits our guests' needs. My passion is to make my place as perfect as possible so I add things to it constantly. I am so happy that I have started this business because I have the opportunity to meet wonderful people from around the world. I do not even see it as a business, I see myself as a person who can provide tourists a place as a starting point to explore my beautiful city.

I love my apartment. It has just been remodeled with new furniture, goose down pillows and premium quality bed linens. I have personally decorated it , using wood in kitchen and furniture. There are books of greek civilization, history, art, islands.
