Great spot, convenient to campus

We were in town for a swim competition at Queen's and had a few family members so this was a convenient location that could sleep us all. Thank you!

Overall, the stay in the suite was sufficient, but there were many qualities which made it uncomfortable. For one, we found hair, debris, and even patches of blood on the bedding. The kitchen was useful but some dishes were dirty upon pulling them out of the cupboard. The noise of the upstairs neighbours was disruptive, with their morning alarms, conversations, and footsteps all clearly audible even late into the night. We hope these issues will be resolved for future patrons.

Okay Stay, Loud Neighbours

Our week long stay was mixed. Overall, the unit is as advertised, as we were not surprised with anything inside the unit. Our stay, unfortunately, was soured by the activity of the people upstairs. Understandably, as this is a basement unit, we expected noise from upstairs, however, the constant door slamming, rough housing, yelling, and music coming from upstairs made for an unwelcoming environment. The noise was constant, each night, past midnight, sometimes reaching 1am. It appeared to be at least four, maybe six people coming and going all day and night. Twice, the noise, banging, and stomping was so aggressive it knocked out the vent register from the ceiling. Additionally, the upstairs would begin cooking meals seemingly at 11:30pm reliably, which would make its way downstairs through the air vents which would fill the unit. Aside from the noise, the unit was passably clean, however the washing machine has not been cleaned, and as it is a front load washer, there is quite a bit of buildup. There was also an uncovered electrical box close to the fridge in the ceiling, with the wires expose (no tape). Lastly, the foosball table, which looked inviting, was flimsy, and was slightly broken, which prevented us from playing at risk of further damage. Overall, if you are looking for a place for a quick stay, this unit will work. If you are a family, with small children or need/ value your sleep (and are sensitive to food cooking smells), this will not work for you.
