This was the second time we have stayed in this lovely cottage, located in a very nice residential neighborhood. It was immaculate, nicely decorated, and very functional. The location was quite convenient to uptown restaurants and coffee shops. The kitchen was well-equipped. Bob and Lu were great hosts, and we hope to return next year!
Apartment was beautiful, clean and spacious. It far exceeded my expectations. I was comfortable during my stay and would gladly rebook. Host was welcoming, friendly and funny :)
This cottage had everything I needed, and then some!It is very comfortable, beautifully decorated, immaculate, and spacious. Even though it just has one bedroom, the high ceiling and skylights make it look so much larger. The bathroom has three grab bars (very important to me, and I have not found those at the other cottages I rented). It was too chilly to enjoy the patio, but I plan to in the future when the weather is warmer. There was a basket of yummy snacks on the kitchen table, which were very much appreciated. I very highly recommend this cottage.
If you are looking for an elegant, peaceful stay, this is the place. The owner is on property, great person, amiable and communicative. Easy access, parking for two, if needed and a beautiful, cozy studio with a fantastic bathroom and shower area.

Wonderful stay
My parents here stayed while in town to visit the grandkids. This is their review:My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this spacious studio cottage while visiting the area. It was lovely, modern, comfortable and quite clean. Located in a charming upscale neighborhood, we could easily walk the few blocks to restaurants in downtown Alameda. Kudos to our congenial host. We would be quite happy to stay here again.
The photos tell it all. This cozy cottage is exactly as it's pictured only better. Super clean, well appointed, beautiful grounds and great neighborhood.
Relaxing location…feels way bigger than a studio…perfect location for concert attendance at Oakland Arena and not a bad drive to do Napa for half a day to see my friends from east coast…will definitely plan to stay here again when in the area
Great, clean, new studio in Alameda. Great location close to the beach, restaurants but in a quiet neighborhood with driveway parking available. Wonderful hosts, easy access and clear communication. Such a comfortable spot with all the amenities you need. Full kitchen, beautiful skylights, nice bathroom. A great little escape!
I rented this guest cottage for my elderly Dad (we live nearby but have no space for him to stay). It is spacious (feels even larger due to high, vaulted ceilings and skylights (do bring an eye pillow if you want to sleep in), has a large and super well equipped kitchen, and is really comfortable with both inside and (semi-private) outside seating. My Dad would enthusiastically stay here again and enjoyed meeting the owners very much who were kind to show him how to operate the heat and coffee maker.
I stayed at this location for 3 nights for a friend's wedding and it was fantastic. The studio is very very well done, with a lot of effort put into the accommodations ... comfortable bed, high quality sheets, wide wood plank floors, a huge TV, high end tile in the shower, and tons of natural light (bring an eye mask if you want to sleep late in the summer). The location couldn't have been better for me, just a 10-15 minute walk to my friend's house, to the shops and restaurants on Park Street, or a walk down to the beach (which Id did each morning). It was very quiet and a great neighborhood.I had a silly mixup with the code while checking in (entirely my fault), but Bob was gracious and easy to get ahold of and we resolved it quickly. They are very thoughtful hosts, with clear signage, notes and labels throughout the house, a book of instructions, and a basket full of snacks. As a former short term rental host myself, I really appreciated all that.Would definitely stay there again!

Very nice place
Overall a very nice place to stay. Quiet, very nice unit with great finishes and construction and everything worked well. For those that like to sleep in, the place is very bright due to skylights, FYI. We did, however, encounter an ant infestation on our food. While ants are common in Alameda, we had to throw out some food and the ants remained and we couldn’t use the kitchen for breakfast (coffee maker also had ants) which is one of the reasons we stay at such places rather than hotels. Owner came over and cleaned up and applied ant bait to spots but ants remained. Disappointing that beyond the ant treatment of the unit there was no offer to compensate us for the lost food or inconvenience. FYI, ants are common in Alameda especially when entering the rainy season so we were not surprised, but it was a large infestation and sorta spoiled the use of the kitchen for us. I suspect it won’t be much of an issue in other times of the year.
The host was very nice. The location was perfect for our needs. The space was immaculately clean and well stocked with linens, kitchen equipment, etc. Thank you
