About this property

The Sanctuary - Hot Tub & Huruh Bay Views

Summary:

4-bedroom, 2-bathroom Oneroa villa with Huruhi Bay views, wraparound verandahs, hot tub, large lawn and private beach-track access. Sleeps up to 9 with 1 king, 2 queens and 3 king singles. Includes Wi-Fi, Smart TV, BBQ, full kitchen, wood burners, lower-level heat pump and parking for up to 4 vehicles. Steep dirt-road access; 4WD required

The Space:

The Sanctuary is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom villa in Oneroa with views across Huruhi Bay. The property sleeps up to nine guests and includes wraparound verandahs, a hot tub, large lawn, established gardens, outdoor dining and private access to a beach track.

The house has an approximate floor area of 230 square metres and is arranged across two levels. Original fittings sourced from older New Zealand properties are used throughout the home, alongside timber floors, high ceilings, decorative ceiling roses and art deco-style light fittings.

The main living areas are located on the entry level. This level contains the full kitchen, dining room, two living areas and one bathroom.

The main living area includes lounge seating, a Smart TV, Bose sound system, wood burner and views through the surrounding windows. A heat pump on the lower level provides additional heating and cooling.

The dining room has a large table for group meals and connects with the kitchen and outdoor areas.

The full kitchen includes a 900mm oven, induction cooktop and generous preparation space. It opens to the outdoor dining area, which has an electric louvre system and views across Huruhi Bay.

There are two wood burners at the property: one inside the living area and one outside. A starter supply of firewood is provided for stays between 1 June and 30 September.

All four bedrooms are located upstairs. Each bedroom opens onto the verandah and has an outlook across the property or surrounding views.

Parking is available for up to four vehicles. The garage is not available for guest use.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to the house, entry-level living areas, upstairs bedrooms, verandahs, gardens, large lawn, BBQ, hot tub, outdoor dining area and private beach track.

The estate sits on private land, so guests staying at the property are the only people with access to the beach track.

Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles.

The Neighborhood:

The property is located in Oneroa with views across Huruhi Bay.

Mudbrick and Cable Bay vineyards are located on the same road and are only minutes away by car.

The property has private access to a beach track from the estate. Walking options in the area range from shorter walks of around 15 minutes through to longer walking routes.

Getting Around:

Waiheke Island is approximately 20 km long. Most visitor areas and many holiday homes are located within the first 10 km from the ferry side of the island.

A vehicle is strongly recommended for this property because of the steep dirt-road access. A 4WD is required year-round.

Taxis are available on Waiheke, and some taxi providers can supply 4WD transport. Regular bus services operate around the island, but guests should not rely on buses for the final property access without checking routes and stops in advance.

Other Things to Note:

This is a self-catered holiday home, not a fully catered stay. We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, coffee, tea, and milk to help you settle in on arrival. Once these starter items have been used, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies needed during their stay.

For properties with a fireplace, stays between 1 June and 30 September include a starter supply of firewood. Additional firewood can be purchased from local petrol stations, Woolworths, Four Square, and Mitre 10.

Beach towels are provided at this property.

Please Note: This property has dirt road access for part of the way off the main road and is steep in parts. You will require 4WD access People mover vans that are not 4WD are not recommended as they are generally too light in the rear end for the ascent.
