The house is in total 3 bildings, so the bedrooms, the living area and the bathroom. So also if there is rain or you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night you need to go outside. It is perfectly private. You can hear the beach and the house is very complete. We missed nothing. We enjoyed our stay
The host was lovely. The amenities comfortable just a little discombobulating with the separate areas but we expected that and were fortunate with the weather. If inclement and you had more than two staying it would become a little crowded with just a small living area.
Loved staying here, felt very secluded and surrounded by beautiful coastal heath. Could watch birds from inside. Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of books and puzzles. Great to get away from the internet and switch off.

Few bits of feedback. Felt a bit unsafe not being able to lock the doors from the inside without the key. Main bedroom up stairs was locked from inside with key only to take an hr the next morning trying to get out. No instructions provided on how to use hot water system. Told to be aware of fire warning and listen to radio but we didn’t see a radio. WiFi would be Nice. Game boards were good, kitchen had everything we needed.
I enjoyed the separate spaces joined by the boardwalks, especially the bedroom upstairs, with views across the tops of the native tea-trees & eucalypts. And the wide open sky. Loved the silence, with just the waves, wind, rain and bird calls for music.
We had a wonderful stay! The 3 pods were perfect for a unique getaway with our family of 5. It was raining during our stay, which meant moving between pods in the wet, but umbrellas were provided to make this as comfortable as possible. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and beds were cosy and comfortable. Heating was excellent for a winter stay. Very close to the beach and views from the top bedroom are wonderful. Close to Seal Bay, Kelly Hill Caves, Flinders Chase National Park, KI Wildlife Park and Little Sahara which was why we originally chose to stay here.
It was certainly a lovely restful, relaxing, scenic & rustic environment with very comfortable beds. A delightful communicative host & we were very fortunate to be able to stay an extra night when the ferries to/from Cape Jervis were cancelled yesterday due to strong winds. There were some limitations due to mobility issues of 1 of our party. Worth discussing with host to ascertain suitability. The bedroom area is on the left of the photo with well appointed kitchen, lounge area to the right
Really enjoyed staying at Vivonne Bay very happy with the location as it was close to our KI highlights, Flinders chase, Seal Bay, Kelly Caves. The accommodation was great very clean, well appointed and cosy. Was a little surprised by the separate toilet pavilion but got used to that quickly. Loved our Tamara wallaby’s & birds enjoyed the living in bush vibe. Thanks

Hi Louise glad you had a lovely time, the design of the house is done so you are always connected to nature, we wanted it to be different from our home which is very internal. The outdoor toilet can be a bit of a challenge in the winter but seeing all those stars is worth it. Thanks for your feedback hope you get to visit again. Regards AnnMarie
