Imagine awakening at your leisure to the beautiful sounds of the bird life, 57 varieties have been identified on the property, frilled neck lizards are often spotted near the horse paddock
Once you have spent a night or two in this tranquil piece of paradise we know that you will want to return again and again as many of our guests already do.
We are walking distance to the famous Crocodylus Park, Holmes Jungle and the extensive bird life of Knuckey Lagoon and the Leanyer wetlands.
A quick drive from the airport, 10 minutes to the CBD and even less to major shopping centres. Wireless internet connection is available for the convenience of our guests along with cable television.

Bed and Breakfast Lodge

We have 4 guest rooms in the main Bed and Breakfast Lodge, each one having its own special outlook . 3 have French doors that open out on to the veranda or patio, one has a private en suite.
We can also provide a 2 or 3 bedroom suite with a private lounge and study area. Ideal for small groups or family\'s. All rooms are air conditioned and fan cooled. The shared bathroom is large and has 2 showers.
Awake beautifully refreshed every morning and enjoy a light healthy tropical breakfast. There are tea and coffee making facilities, guest fridges, microwave. induction hot plate and BBQ for guests to self cater as well as hair dryer and laundry facilities.
Guests of all rooms are welcome to relax in the guest lounge, read a book from the expansive library, walk in the extensive grounds or bath in the cool swimming pool set in sandstone surrounded by luxurious tropical gardens.
Authentic Aboriginal art and Territorian photography decorate the lounge area for the guests enjoyment.

Pet friendly Self Contained Cottage

The Grungle Downs fully self contained family and pet friendly cottage is spacious, fans and aircon and cool it has 2 queen size beds plus a single and trundle. A well equipped kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. The dining and lounge areas are spacious and tastefully furnished, with large comfortable lounges , a dining table made from an old Vietnamese boat, a small library and a garden views through the louvres and French doors. The back of the cottage has a long shady veranda with fans, outdoor setting, BBQ and washing machine.
The cottage has a privately fenced back yard and the 13 metre pool is just through the side gate.
