We had a wonderful time at Shoaly house. We stayed with our extended family with room for everyone.The property has three separate living areas which gave each family their own space, though there was some jealousy about who got the back cottage (it’s very nice).The main house common area is small for a big group, but the front and back decks are huge. We had all our meals on the back deck, the built in BBQ is excellent and the kitchen windows open onto the deck to create a serving area, perfect for our big group. It was comfortable even with some rainy weather We liked that there was secure parking for all of our cars.The location is mid way between three beaches, 1.2km to the closest one. An easy walk, or a short drive if you’re taking beach equipment.Our hosts were very helpful and responded to all my questions quickly.I definitely recommend the house for a big family get together.

My family and I had a wonderful long weekend together at this beautiful home away from home in Tanilba Bay. Sandra went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The house is stunning: very clean, spacious and containing everything you need for a fun or relaxing vacation. Sandra was kind enough to stock the pantry and fridge with essentials as well as treats to make our stay extra special. The freshly-baked Irish brack cake was such a lovely surprise.Location-wise there are some lovely walks nearby including the Tiligerry Habitat and the Tanilba Bay boardwalk, and Nelson Bay beaches are about a half hour drive away. Sandra provided us with excellent tips on sight-seeing and activities in the area which made trip-planning a breeze.I can’t recommend Sandra, or staying at this beautiful location, enough and am already excited to come back!
