About this property
BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED 8 BEDROOM PROPERTY SET IN THE HEART OF THE PERIGORD NOIR
A beautifully restored 5 bedroom house and 3 bedroom barn conversion (total of 8 bedrooms), set in the heart of the Perigord Noir! Including a private, raised terrace swimming pool overlooking the valley of Groléjac, as well as BBQ and pizza oven facilities in the garden, you can truly experience the alfresco way of life! We have also included a games room with table tennis, perfect for the kids and adults of course! And there are public tennis courts on the same road as the house, where you can purchase tickets from the post office opposite! Animals are always welcomed as we understand they're an important part of the family, and the front garden is enclosed for ease of mind! We will also offer water bowls for your beloved pets!
Set in the hamlet of La Mouline in Groléjac there is much to see and do! Groléjac lake is only a 10 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride from the house, where there is a sand beach and bar/ snack facilities during the summer months. The Dordogne river is a 5 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride also, from which you can take a canoe down one of the most stunning stretches of the Dordogne to the well known village of La Roque Gageac, which was voted third most beautiful village in France last year! From the river you can also join the cycle path which will take you to Sarlat or Souillac and offers a safe and beautiful way of seeing the Dordogne! There are a number of local amenities, such as a small supermarket, butchers, bakers and a number of bars, restaurants and a pizzeria, as well as a food market that runs throughout July and August on Tuesday evenings where you can try a variety of local food and drinks! Close to the villages of Domme, Beynac, La roque Gageac, Vitrac, Carsac, as well as the towns of Sarlat (only 11km) and Gourdon! You truly are in the heart of the Perigord Noir, also known as the golden triangle of the Dordogne for its outstanding beauty!
