About this property
1st floor apartment in a 3 storey villa with garden, bus/metro close by
1st floor apartment in a 3 storey villa with a wide garden. It is quiet and airy and has 1 bedroom with its own bathroom en suite, a furnished kitchen corner and a light dining room. The bedroom is air conditioned and has a double bed queen sized (160 cm) which can be divided into 2 twins. A baby cot is available upon request. Bathroom has a large shower stall, toilet, sink, bidet. The dining room is a light veranda with dining table and chairs. There is also a single sofa bed for a 3rd person/child The mini kitchen includes a washing machine and a dishwasher, two induction burners and a sink. In the dining room there is a fridge, a toaster, a microwave oven, a kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine, a milk frother and a squeezer. You will find also some basic items like tea bags, coffee capsules, sugar, salt, oil, a pack of spaghetti and a can of tomato (if you wish to cook a true Italian spaghetti dish!). Hair dryer, iron, plugs, bed linen and towels are at your disposal. The garden offers table and chairs and a swing sofa.
The apartment is perfect for 2 people, but can host a 3rd person or a child.
Bus is only 100mt & subway station 800mt. Montesacro is a lively district with a true Roman flavor. From my house you can easily reach the city center by public transport (bus and metro) and still take advantage of a quiet space where relax yourself after a day of sightseeing. And if you want to go out at night, in the neighborhood you will find many nice places where to dine or have a drink.
My guests can relax themselves in the garden at their pleasure but being a common area of the entire villa it is requested to not disturb the quiet and to not use it during the night time.
I live on the 2nd floor of the villa and I will be available most of the day to guests needs/questions.
The district: Montesacro was built at the beginning of 1900. There are many of the original villas making this an elegant and quiet area of the city. In the meantime many nice places opened in the last years, from wine bars to restaurants. There is one of the best Roman ice cream parlor and some wine bars, tapas places like Anchimò, Pic Nic, Ponte Tazio and Mezzo Litro. There is a very old bridge, the Nomentano, existing since the time of Roman Emperors, and there is a small hill where the first strike of the Roman history took place and where Roman consul Menenio Agrippa made his famous speech known "of the limbs and stomach"(The Monte Sacro). Here Simon Bolivar "El Libertador" swore to free his people and Latin America from Spanish rule.
How to get around: There is a bus stop 100 mt. from the apartment and a Metro B stop 800 mt. away. You can take bus n. 60 or 90 to the center and Metro B to Termini Station, Colosseum, Circo Massimo and Piramide. From Fiumicino airport there is a regional train (ticket 8 euro) which stops at Nomentana Station, 1 km. away from my home. If you are a biker, there is a bike path few meters from the apartment which takes you to the new Auditorium (Flaminio area) and from there you can reach the center quickly and easily.

About the host
Hosted by lia de stefani

I was born in Rome, my family is half Italian (from Veneto) and half Chinese. I have been working for many years as press officer for classical music festivals and seasons. Nowadays I manage websites as a webmaster and work in the tourist field. I love cooking, gardening and computing. I'm married and have a beautiful daughter. Love cats and dogs.
Why they chose this property
The house belongs to my family since 1950. My grandfather bought it and I grew here. During the years it has been restored and divided in 3 separate apartments. They are full of memories both from China and from Italy. I love the atmosphere and want to share it with my guests
What makes this property unique
COVID-19 PANDEMIA: I carefully inspect the apartment cleaning. All surfaces, including light switches, handles and keys, are treated with denaturated alcohol. Bathrooms and floors are treated with bleach. Crockeries are treated with dishwasher. According to Regione Lazio provisions, while you are here you should open windows several times a day to ensure fresh air comes inside.
It's warmly suggested to use facial masks when you are inside shops and supermarkets. However keep social distancing at least 6 feet from other people and wash your hands often with soap.
For any problems during your stay please contact me immediately by phone or whatsapp.
