Recommend this property for your stay in Rome. Lovely garden patio and great location. Very clean and well maintained. Matilda was wonderful! Always responsive immediately and came to show us the place so no worries on where everything thing was! 100 Stars! Betty G
This was a great place to stay! I can't come up with a way to have improved our stay. Matilde met us to do check-in and collect the city tax (yes, it's a requirement from ANY property in Italy) and gave us a brief run through of the amenities. She was even kind enough to have snacks in the refrigerator and a bottle of wine! The property is a block away from the entry to the Vatican Museums and easy for using the train/bus. It's also within walking distance (3-ish miles) from all of the major attractions. A grocery store is across the street, or there are multiple restaurants within a 15 minute walk. There are also a few shops for clothing and gifts on the same street. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. It was quiet with very little street noise and the neighborhood felt safe. We'd definitely stay again!
Excellent accommodations Excellent location Excellent hostEverything needed within 10 min walk maximum Subway, Supermarket, Full Laundry I would stay again absolutely!
We had a great time in Rome , the host was very helpful and nice . Highly recommend the location and the host/property . The property was very nice with everything you need to prepare small meals . The patio outside is very cozy and can entertain a whole family.
We loved this apartment. The host was amazing. The best part is the courtyard filled with elephant ear plants and other beautiful flowers and plants. Steps from Vatican City. Looking forward to a return trip.

Good location, close to vatican and metro. Clean and well set up, garden is very nice. Host comms are great too. Dont forget about tourist tax, cash, on top of what expedia/stay costs.
This room is a very good soze compared to many
I traveled with my elderly parents to beautiful Rome and needed an appartment that was conveniently positioned in the city with easy access. Matildes appartment fullfilled all of the requirements and more. And Matilde was a very welcoming host, who helped us whenever needed along the way. We would love to come back! Warmest recomendations from the three of us, Dorte
This was a fun apartment with the garden. It was located just around the corner from where the tour of the Vatican met, so only had to leave about 5 minutes before the time. It was convenient to Metro A which we took to go to the coliseum (changing to B). We walked from the coliseum, through the Forum to Trevi fountain and then back to the apartment.
Matilde went above and beyond to be helpful. We never learned mass transportation so we had to take the taxi which made it expensive. Someone with more “city” sense would probably do better than we did. The apartment was very clean and seemed to be well equipped though we didn’t really use anything in the kitchen.
The most precious and comfortable apartment - the pictures do not do it justice - the outdoor space is both quiet and private and is like having another apartment. You cannot hear the traffic and the building is secure. Off of Candia you will find quaint coffee shops, terrific restaurants and a quiet neighbour. Within steps of the Metro. Matilde is the consummate host and if We could give her a Micheline rating, it would be 4 stars! Thank you for a terrific stay and we can’t wait to return.

Matilde was the consummate host. Communication and helpfulness were the very best. The property itself was clean and comfortable. The patio area was the perfect place for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We had our first supper there. There is a small grocery across the street and a larger one just a block over and the Trionfalle Market is between the two. There are plenty of restaurants if you don’t want to take advantage of the kitchen. There is the Metro nearby and Matilde guided our first foray onto the Metro so that all the others were a piece of cake. If we stay in Rome again I would stay here again without reservation. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Absolutely perfect
The peacock garden is the perfect place to stay in Rome. Matilde has thought of every detail and made the apartment your home away from home. She had stocked the refrigerator with juice, milk, cheese and wine. The kitchen has everything you might need, including coffee, tea, sugar and spices. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden after a long day in the heat and crowds of Rome. The location is perfect as you are two blocks from the Vatican Museum and it is easy to walk anywhere. There are two Metro stops very close by. I can't say enough good things about the apartment. We just loved it and we can't wait to come back.
First off, big thank you to Matilde, she was very responsive and made us comfortable from the start. Very easy and thorough communication from the beginning, which was very helpful. I am a female traveler travelling with two teens (15 and 17) and my highest priority was feeling safe with them. The location was safe and put me at ease. The AC literally saved us, as we were there during the “hellish heatwave”, and my kids were always so happy to come back to the rental. My absolute favourite part was the garden. Gorgeous! It was our own little Roman sanctuary. We walked to the Vatican multiple times (about a 15-20 min walk), and to Castle San Angelo as well. We used the easy access to the metro (6-8 min walk away with one of the stations under construction) for all other site seeing. It was a great location. It was quiet and lovely at night. The kitchen was well stocked, though we didn’t cook at all while there. There is a little market and laundry, as well as multiple other shops, just across / down the street. We had good experiences with restaurants on the block, just steps away. I am very happy with the rental for my kids’ first time to Rome. Also very grateful to Matilde and would highly recommend!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!
We just spent a delightful three nights in Rome at the Peacock garden apartment. Matildhe could not have been nicer. She met us on arrival, showed us the apartment, and what a nice surprise to find “goodies“ in the refrigerator to get us started. How thoughtful! This apartment is perfect. She has thought of everything. It is well-equipped and very nicely located. It was especially convenient for our Vatican tour as we were literally three minutes away from the meeting point. There are a number of very nice restaurants within walking distance (we especially liked Il Colibri - a five minute walk away.) The garden is lovely and we enjoyed breakfasts there and a glass of wine at the end of our long days of touring. The apartment is very quiet, spotless, comfortable bed, great shower, and great air conditioning. All the comforts of home! We had a slight mishap with the key on a Sunday morning, and Matildhe responded immediately, was over in 15 minutes, and solved the problem! What a relief! I could not recommend this apartment more highly. You will be very happy and comfortable with your stay here. Also, Matildhe arranged transportation from the airport and for our return flight. What a great service! She encouraged us to call her for anything - and she responded immediately when texted. Go to Rome and stay here!
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The owners checked us in personally, they were amazingly responsive, and absolutely thought of everything when stocking the apartment. Conveniently located to public transportation. Steps from the Vatican Museum entrance. Restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We can’t wait to return. Bravo!
This was a perfect place to stay, literally a block and a half from Vatican City and our tour. Fantastic places to eat were doors away, the grocery store across the street was very affordable and super convenient! Matilde personally checked us in even though we arrived later in the evening. She provided us with a warm smile and all the information we could want about the area. She was even kind enough to gift us a coupe small figures that she made by hand. The outside space was second to none! So many places to sit and enjoy some wine after a long day of site seeing. We will rent this wonderful space every time we visit Rome.
We spent a few days at Peacock Gardens to unwind after our Mediterranean cruise. We picked the location to be near the Vatican so we could explore this part of Rome. When I say near, the Vatican was so close! The neighborhood was lovely, restaurants, grocery, etc all very convenient.
The property itself was perfect for us. We had all the amenities that we could have needed. The bed was comfortable. The standout of the property is the garden courtyard. We spent evenings out there just enjoying the space. If we are in Rome again, we’d definitely book again.
