A week with friends in the French countryside

Wonderful stay. We had plenty of space and the manager was very helpful. There are plenty of places to go but you must have a car. Special thank you to Pamela and Shane for making us feel welcome to the area.

Long Weekend Stay

Fantastic large property with extensive grounds. Photos don't do it justice. Very approachable owner/property contact. A family home that makes you feel settled as soon as you arrive. Plenty of wet weather entertainment as well as a beautiful pool area. Property is in a very secluded spot with car access a must. Very much recommend this property and will stay if in the area in the future.

French Country Side Perfection

This Villa truly is a gem, not to be missed if you’re considering exploring the French Country Side. The owners clearly love the Villa as it’s well taken care of and has every amenity one could imagine. My kids age 2/8/9 loved the Pool and the games room was an added bonus. The location was ideal for day trips to local towns, nothing was further than 40 mins away, many towns 15/20 minutes away and Duras was 10 minutes. Really ideal for exploring all things France has to offer in this region. The Host was a 5/5 with everything, she went over the call of duty, truly awesome! Stay in this Villa.

Heaven on holiday

Ramond is simply amazing. From the moment we arrived it felt like home. We settled in immediately and felt as if we’d been there forever ! The house had everything one could ever need (and we needed a lot given the revolving door of guests we hosted). The pool was a perfect temperature .. and given it was 38 degrees for most of the second week that was very welcome… and very well maintained. The grounds had a variety of wildlife from wild boar to deer. When we did have a small hitch (one of the doors refused to lock), the very friendly maintenance guy appeared and fixed it instantly. The owner recommended a couple of local activities which we thoroughly enjoyed. All of us (14 in total) had THE best time. It was perfect. To Dan and Mel, Vance and Michelle.. Thank you.

Magnifique résidence !

Et ne vous fiez pas aux photos : Elles sont trompeuses ;) : En réalité les espaces sont BEAUCOUP PLUS GRANDS que ce que vous pouvez imaginer, les chambres sont immenses, les cuisines pas moins et le grand salon est une cathédrale. La rénovation a été réalisée avec grand soin par des artisans de premier ordre (Notamment le menuisier et le plaquiste), la déco est soignée et très plaisante, les equipements sont pléthoriques aussi bien pour la préparation des repas que pour les loisirs : Même par temps maussade, il est impossible de s'ennuyer à Ramond. Vous entrez, comme si vous étiez un invité,dans la résidence de vacances des LEE, dont les photos ornent toute la maison, et dont les equipements sportifs personnels sont sur place (Golf, tennis...): Cette relation de confiance fait du bien par les temps qui courent! Daniel LEE a toujours été à l'écoute, avant notre séjour, de toutes les questions qui pouvaient se poser, et peut compter sur Wendy BENTLEY qui gère le bien et se trouve à proximité immédiate pour tous les problèmes du séjour: Elle est extremement réactive, et sa disponibilité n'a d'égal que sa gentillesse ou sa très grande discrétion. En repérant avant mon séjour sur Google maps, je craignais un environnement quelconque et dépouillé: Le ressenti est tout à fait inverse, et on a un sentiment de sérénité à peine croyable tant l'endroit est tranquille. Que du bonheur ! Bravo Dan, et merci de mettre à disposition votre magnifique propriété.

The Lee family (Dan, Mel, Sam & Carrie) who own the property live in the UK. However, Wendy (property manager) lives on-site in a cottage within the grounds. She is on hand to welcome guests and deal with any issues.

Why they chose this property

Ramond has been lovingly restored by the current owners and consists of 2 barn conversions linked together. Closest to the pool (open May- Oct) at the rear of the property is the imposing fireplace living room, farmhouse kitchen and 3 bedrooms. 2 adult ensuites are upstairs, and downstairs is the fun children's triple bunk room (sleeps 4). Nearby is the downstairs shower room & utility room.
On the other side of the property is the "West Wing", which can also accommodate 2 families. Again, there are 2 adult ensuites, and a bunk room with an ensuite/shared bathroom. Up the spiral staircase is the mezzanine level, which can be set up as either a twin or a King room. There is also an impressive living room, with access to a patio and a large kitchen and utility room. All adult bedrooms have air conditioning.

What makes this property unique

In addition to the living spaces, we have a large games barn (TV, DVD, games console, table tennis, table football, snooker/pool & darts) and also an air-conditioned gym. As well as the main heated pool (open May - Oct) the outside amenities also include a large trampoline, tyre swing, swing set, football net, basketball net and croquet. There are also plenty of boardgames/puzzles/books/Netflix/Amazon Video/wifi to keep kids amused inside if required!
