The cabin is very charming. It’s in a very private setting, with outdoor fire pit that’s set up very comfortably, and made more perfect with the sounds of the nearby creek. And the fabulous hot tub ! Perfect weekend getaway
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We had no phone service at the cabin,so it was very peaceful. We did have wifi so we were able to stay in touch with family. We will definitely stay there again
Wow. I don't know where to begin! This was the absolute perfect mountain getaway. These cabins are truly tucked up and away from everything, and it was the perfect retreat from the humdrum. Very spacious and with generous amenities - perfect for any couple looking for a little escape in the Blue Ridge. I almost didn't want to write a review for fear that others might find out about this little slice of heaven! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation spot. Y'all have earned lifelong guests, who cannot wait to come back!!
It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The only bad thing was the phone in the cabin did not work so we were not able to communicate with our family once we made it safe but besides that it was a very lovely trip
This is the perfect place to getaway from it all and just unplug and relax, if you're looking for a nice little cabin to go to to just getaway then this is the place for you from it's location to the hot tub it's definitely a quiet place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings, I will definitely come back it's very clean and well taken care of I highly recommend.
My husband and I stayed here for a week and we had the best time. The hot tub was wonderful, the privacy was great, and honestly it was a nice break to not have service or Wi-Fi for a bit. Beautiful cabin. Very comfy.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed being unplugged during our time there. A few of our favorites: the hot tub, cooking in the kitchen, reading on the couch, and the many seating areas to relax and hang out around the property.
The property is lovely and so deep in the mountains that you are completely disconnected from the outside world (no phones and no internet) the hot tub is perfect. We did a lot of hiking and walked around the town of Hot Springs. It was exactly what we were looking for….quiet, relaxing, and connected to nature.
My husband and I went to celebrate our 20th anniversary and truly enjoyed ourselves! I would advise anyone who has trouble with ladder’s not to stay here. But it’s nice and quite and we loved being able to unplug from the world and reconnect with one another!
We had a wonderful time on our weekend getaway. The cabin was great. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub! Beautiful drive and beautiful area. No cell service or internet but that wasn’t terrible. They do have a landline phone in the cabin so we were still able to call and check on the kids. We did get a visit from a flying squirrel I think 😂. Overall we had a great weekend.
We got to the property the drive was only 6 hours for us. We were very happy with the location. Of course we were there at the coldest time of this year 9 degrees. It had already snow which was fantastic. We got to the cabin it was very cold but it looked like they had truned on the heater for us. We had to make a fire every day and night we were there cause of the cold. It was very drafty. The hot tub was fantastic. And the area around the cabin was very nice. If your going there in the winter beware the cabin is very drafty. Over all the cabin was a very nice place to spend our Christmas at this year. It did not let us down but old man winter did.
Had a wonderful stay here. Everything was as advertised, and we took full advantage of the hot tub and porch views! We also had a great hike on Max Patch Mountain. Be sure you're comfortable climbing a ladder to get to/from bed!

A couple of surprises
While the bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was worth the stay, we would not stay here again. There were a few surprises that added quite a bit of stress to our trip. Be aware that there is zero cell phone service at the cabin or within 15 miles of it. Not just bad, but actually none. I feel this should be clearly noted in the property description. Once in the cabin we were able to access the WiFi and connect through WiFi calling, but missed several important text and voicemails while at the cabin. Also, the bushes around the home have grown so tall and large you can’t even access the steps at the front of the house. I feel this may be contributing to the next issue we encountered which is spiders. We have stayed in dozens of NC mountain cabins and never once had an issue with bugs or spiders. Throughout our stay we encountered several spiders and large black ants including a spider crawling on my husband while napping on the couch and one falling from the ceiling and landing on my book while reading in bed. The home also had a lot of cobwebs, particularly around the ceiling fans. Lastly, we were not able to find any trace of a carbon monoxide detector in the home despite having gas heaters. It is noted in the listing that it is unknown if there is a carbon monoxide detector but I figured that there would surely be one if there were gas appliances in the home. Luckily we did not need to use the heat so we just hoped for the best.
It was a lovely little cabin within a hours drive of many different places. Enjoyed the Biltmore Estate and dining in Ashville

Could've Been Better
Property was not as advertised and we were pretty disappointed. Property in general was beautiful, a tad bit hard to get to up a mountain but views were nice. The cottage itself could really use some work. Cleanliness was not adequate, giant spider webs everywhere, years worth of dust hanging from the ceiling, black mold in the shower. There was not working lighter to light a fire, and no first aid kit. I would suggest improving these things and the overall cleanliness. I would also make the upstairs area more stable. You can see through the wood floor boards and as you walk on them they move making you feel as though you will fall right through. I would also make sure what you have advertised indeed is on property and works. There was no DVD player like advertised, and also advertised a phone line to be able to contact people due to no cell service. Which also was not working... Owners did give us some what of a refund after only staying 1 night out of 3-4 nights. Felt we deserved more given our cleaning fee was obviously not being put to proper use and the amount of gas and driving we had to do to get to the cabin.
This was our second trip to this amazing cabin.. we love it so much! Definitely a much needed disconnect from city life and perfcet place to celebrate our union
We greatly enjoyed our stay! The only advice I have for the property is to install some kind of light near the grill/hot tub. There are no lights on the side of the porch, and we had to use flashlights. I still recommend staying here! It was so peaceful and quiet.

About the host

As our son was starting to explore the world around him more and more, we wanted to find a place where we could wander and wonder, and we found it the moment we found Bear Creek Cabins. Both of our cabins and the beautiful land around them transports us to relaxation and connection each time we are lucky enough to get time away to our beautiful cabins. We're so happy that we can share them with others when we're not there.
Why they chose this property
Because you need to unplug, disconnect and reeeeeelaaaaaax. You'll do that at Evergreen Cabin.
