STUNNING HILLSIDE POSITION WITH PRIVATE POOL AND SHADY GARDEN

The area is generally quiet and peaceful. There is very little traffic and the pool and terraces areas are well screened by plants etc. There is a wall with a lockable gate at the road side of the property.

The house SLEEPS 6 in two twin rooms - with separate bathroom and shower room adjacent and one double room with ensuite shower room (with a separate lockable entrance) at a lower level overlooking the pool (floodlit at night if you choose!) and the lower terrace.

IF YOU ARE A GROUP or FAMILY OF EIGHT please read this description carefully and make sure that the sleeping arrangements suit your particular needs!

The large open plan living room with bar and kitchen area has two french windows opening onto the spacious roofed terrace. The dining area can be curtained off at an archway to provide a comfortable double futon SLEEPING 2 additional guests if required. Dining furniture is also provided on the covered terrace area with a large awning for extra shade when needed.

A portable barbecue is available for the use of guests and sunbeds and umbrellas are also available on both terraces.

WiFi (recently installed modern fibre) is available in the living area and there are two TV's with DVD's in the double ensuite room and the living room.There is generous parking for one car on the property adjacent to the entrance and ample street parking nearby.

ELECTRICITY supply in the house has been a problem for some clients in 2019 and 2020. At times it has cut out from the main supply requiring adjustment to the fuse box in the house. PLEASE SEE SOME GUEST REVIEWS . This has now been resolved by the electricity company and we do not anticipate further problems.

Casita Blanca is a family holiday home and well furnished and equipped as such. It is cleaned and service weekly by our housekeepers who may be contacted if any problem arises during your stay.

The floodlit pool has built in steps and safety mats and is situated on the lower paved terrace with sun beds and umbrellas. It is a good size at 4m by 8m and is an even depth overall (between shoulder and chin on an adult) - perfect for aqua aerobics or polo!

The garden terraces are planted with fruit trees and tropical plants and layered to gravel for easy maintenance. They are not suitable for outdoor games but may be cool and shady to sit in.

Villa in a beautiful setting

Our stay was very comfortable. The villa is spacious and in a lovely location at the top of the hill, but only a 15 minute walk into the town. We had a great time there seeing family. It really is a stunning place

Lovely house on a hillside overlooking Orba. Wrap around terrace where you can sit and watch the sunset over the mountains. Cozy and comfortable with loads of room. Perfect for a quiet, restful holiday.

Relaxing villa in a beautiful, quiet location

Lovely weeks stay in this comfortable villa with everything you need for a self catering break. Pool was perfect size and the views are amazing. Villa is as you would expect an older rental property to be but was clean and perfectly equipped. Good communication with villa owners. Air conditioning was perfect for our stay as it was really hot. Thanks for making our stay for a family wedding so enjoyable.

Casita Blanca

We had a very nice holiday at Casita Blanca. The beautiful view was fantastic! The large swimming pool was also very nice! We did occasionally smell a sewage smell near the swimming pool and we could not find out where this came from, but it did not affect our stay! Upon arrival, the gate door was locked and my husband had to climb over the wall to get to the key box😂. We passed this on to the cleaning lady. We had a very nice holiday! Frank and Ariënne

Filthy, Damp & Dated Villa

The villa had not been cleaned in months, it had old grey cobwebs on the furniture. Dirty toilets and floors, thick dust all over. One bedroom smelt of urine, and we could not air it as the air con did not work and there was a large hole in the mosquito screen, so doors could not be opened. We did not even have a key to gain entrance to the double room in the annex. So we only had a 2 bedroom villa and not 3 as advertised. Safe was out of order. Ground in dirt everywhere outside. Mould all around the pool area, missing pool tiles. Pool had not been cleaned at all and was unusable. After numerous messages and emails to complain, a pool cleaner finally turned up on day 8. We were only there for 10 nights. No sign of any cleaner for the house despite photos of the filth being sent to the owner. Outside plastic tables filthy dirty and broken. The whole place looked like it had not been lived in for years. Just wished I could upload the photos. Nothing at all on how it is was advertised. We are now fighting for a full refund as it ruined our holiday. Even locals that we know came to see it and could not believe the state of it. It is now the talk of the town. Avoid at all costs. If you have a holiday booked then I truly hope they sort the villa out. We have been coming to Orba for years in various villas and this was truly dreadful. It is nothing like the photos at all.

The week before this booking my daughter prepared the house for summer guests both inside and out. Later our housekeeper cleaned and made up beds in advance. Sadly shortly before Julie's arrival the pool and terrace areas were badly effected by a storm which left leaves and debris in and around the pool. The description of the house itself bears little relation to reality. We responded to all Julie's emails etc during her stay and apologised for some of the cleaning inside not being up to standard and the sweeping of the terrace that they were faced with. It has become evident since that no attempt had been made to contact the housekeeper by 'phone, or the pool cleaner whose number she left in the house. We fail to understand this. We gather that the pool was in use after debris had been removed by the client (with a net) and that, belatedly we admit, the usual pool clean was done on the Monday. What else - the mosquito screen (mended after a previous client had torn it) simply needed to be carefully retracted to clear the doors. Also all air con units and their remote controls were in full working order. We have apologised for our oversight in not asking Julie which bedrooms she would like prepared and our housekeeper made up the usual four twin beds for four guests in the main house. The annexe therefore was not ready for guests and as is usual keys were left for the main house only. It is always sad if things go wrong on holiday. We are sorry for our lack of care to detail in some areas , and have offered some financial recompense which has been refused. However we strongly refute most of the appalling descriptions of conditions at Casita Blanca in the review. If any guest would like more details please get in touch.

Der Aufenthalt in dem gemieteten Haus war insgesamt ein besonderes Erlebnis. Das Haus selbst ist wunderschön gebaut und liegt in einer reizvollen Hanglage mit traumhaftem Blick in die Berge. Auf zwei Ebenen verteilt, bietet es eine großzügige Terrasse und einen privaten Pool, die zum Entspannen einladen.Allerdings gab es einige Punkte, die den Aufenthalt beeinträchtigten. Im Innen- wie auch im Außenbereich waren deutliche Probleme mit Schimmel sowie feuchter, stickiger Luft spürbar, was für alle Gäste unangenehm war. Zudem funktionierte die Klimaanlage im unteren Bereich nicht richtig – sie war extrem laut, sehr staubig und bräuchte dringend eine Generalüberholung.Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern verlief dagegen absolut reibungslos und freundlich, was positiv hervorsticht.

Uitstekende gezins-vakantiewoning

Mooie, comfortabele en rustige vakantiewoning met prachtig zicht en veel privacy. Goed gelegen voor bezoeken in de omgeving. 1 opm : onderste kamer naast zwembad heeft een vochtprobleem en daardoor wat geurhinder maar gelukkig plaats genoeg in het bovenhuis.

Oui dans l’ensemble ça va bien à part ce problème de l’électricité qu’il fallait tous les 10 minutes un quart d’heure il faut rallumer alors la nuit c’est le pire ça disjoncte et puis il faut le remettre dans la nuit voilà mon problème que j’ai rencontré le propriétaire Il pouvait pas faire intervenir pour réparer le problème malgré le problème il a eu beaucoup avant mais dans la location il nous a pas dit que y avait ce problème voilà

Beautiful Casita Blanca

Our stay at Casita Blanca was amazing. We could not have chosen a more stunning vantage point to view the nearby mountain range and the village of Orba below. Your gardens were amazing, giving a sense of privacy, and at the same time, a sense of security, knowing that neighbours were nearby. We loved the Moorish decor and the history of the villa. The detailed guide to the house and information on the local area were extremely helpful. We had everything we needed, including cozy blankets and heaters for chillier evenings. The villa was very clean and well-stocked with cooking supplies, a recycling system, a washing machine and two washrooms. The pool was in keeping with Spanish decor. Wonderfully refreshing and private. It felt very posh! We cooked meals at home and enjoyed dinners at El Paraiso, la Piscina in Parcent and Awraba and la Placa in Orba. We hiked daily including Els Arcs National Park in Castel de Castels and Penon de Ifach in Calpe, even the mountain track at the top of Orbeta, encountering friendly hunters. We explored the amazing beaches of Cumbre del Sol and Ambolo. Our recent visit to Orbeta gave us a chance to relax with a glass of wine on the piazza and celebrate our almost 50th anniversary. Stunning views

Spacious for 2-4 people, not sure about 8 though. Beautiful swimming pool. Exterior furniture not too comfy. Dated and sparse decor inside. Food left in fridge from previous visitors. Electricity would trip up to 12 times an evening.

Thank you Malcolm for your comments, which are always welcome. We apologise about food in the fridge. Time was short between changeovers and clearly this was overlooked. The electricity has been a problem at times since the meter was changed on the road and this has proved difficult to identify. Our electrician and an Iberdrola engineer are due this week (21st October) to install an update which will solve any tripping. The furniture and decor chosen by us over the years is simple and functional and as seen in our 'photos. We take your point about terrace furniture and will look at some updates for next summer. With three double bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms and an ensuite 6 is the optimum number of guests. Two extras can be accommodated in the living area - not always ideal of course!

Casita Blanca has been in the family since 1974 and extended and developed over the years. As such it has been fully equipped for us and our friends - for a good level of self catering and holiday requirements. In recent years air-conditioning has been added to two bedrooms and the living room and there is heating for the cooler seasons. Wifi is a recent addition. This property has a lived in feel but is well maintained and clean and fresh for each group of guests or members of our extended family.

Why they chose this property

The views, especially the mountains across the valley at sunset, are truly amazing and as we are at the edge of the urbanisation woodland and footpaths are close by. The house is comfortable and the pool and surroundings are lovely enough to stay around in! However there is a lot to do locally and further afield in popular holiday resorts. Denia and Javea are within an easy drive. See maps and the area websites for information.

What makes this property unique

We love the Moorish style of the house with its amazing views from any vantage point. The floodlit pool and garden just adds the perfect setting!
