Get away from it all and enjoy the serene and private surroundings that this house has to offer. Kick back and take in the breathtaking views of Santa Cruz, the ocean, a beautiful sunset followed by the twinkling of city lights at night. Enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer with just a short drive (less than 10 mins) to downtown. We offer a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, a very comfortable king size bed. Their is a completely separate downstairs unit that may be occupied by the owner occasionally. Inquire if concerned. Their is a security camera on the front deck looking over the driveway. What a gem of a vacation rental in the hills of Santa Cruz!Expertly appointed with everything one could need, exceptional views of the ocean and redwoods, surrounding decks, super comfy bed, beautiful decor and artwork, light and breeze filled windows make this home a place you won’t want to leave. The hosts’ attention to details was outstanding! It was like staying in a tree house. This was our second time staying here and we hope we can return. Thank you Tom and Kathy

Nice and secluded, great view

Lots of communication, easy check in. Quiet, beautiful views. Comfortable, great for a couple, slept really well on the king bed. We enjoyed Happy the friendly dog’s visits! Would definitely come back.

Santa Cruz in the trees

We had an amazing stay here up in the trees. The unit was clean, stocked with towels and the check in was easy. Views from both decks were beautiful and relaxing, we will definitely be returning!

Peaceful coastal stay

Our overall trip to Santa Cruz was one for the books, and our stay up in the mountains was quite pleasant. Nice and close to town, ocean views from the porch, and tons of wildlife. Easy peasy stay, definitely recommend.

Scenic is an understatement!

Absolute peace & quiet with the most incredible view of Santa Cruz. We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain scenery and could get to the spectacular beaches and “in town” activities in less than 15 minutes.

Peaceful and serene

We loved the atmosphere and surroundings of the trees and wildlife. We enjoyed watching the birds and saw owls. The house has everything you need. We want to come back and stay longer.

Elegant and comfortable hillside retreat

My husband and I spent the weekend enjoying trees, tranquility, and ocean air while staying in this lovely rental. The hosts were welcoming and communicative. The Shakespeare festival, downtown Santa Cruz, and Henry Cowell state park were the other ingredients in a fabulous getaway weekend.

A Stay with a View

Very comfortable place for us. It had a view of Monterey Bay in the distance. Isolated in the hills but so close to town. Quite enjoyable.

Great space, great location

I go to Santa Cruz every year to visit my son and daughter who live nearby. This house was in a beautiful, private location only 15 minutes from town. House has everything you need, managed well and available if you need them. I’d absolutely go back!

Morning coffee with a view

We enjoyed the peace and quiet after full days of activity. The views from the property are beautiful, whether you prefer the open vista with a view of the hills and ocean or the feeling of being in the forest with ferns, and an owl in the evening from the back porch.The bed is VERY comfortable, important after a busy day. The kitchen has all the basic equipment and then some. We enyoyed pour overs even though we forgot everything for coffee (except the coffee).

Exactly what we wanted

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home. Had really great views. Perfect location being just outside of the city with much to do! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Tom was very responsive to any questions. "Buddy" the next door dog was also great plus when he came to visit.

Private Cottage

The cottage was over a mile off road giving us a secluded but peaceful feel. In reality the freeway & suburbs were close. We had an ocean view. The accommodations were super clean & well furnished. It was stocked with all the comforts of home. I highly recommend.

Comfortable Stay Above Santa Cruz

Well-appointed home with an overlook of Santa Cruz and the ocean on a clear day. Worth the drive up the hill to the property for a little isolation and relaxation. The residence is a 2nd-story flat with a soft memory foam king bed. The kitchen has most everything needed for cooking, coffee, and tea. It was a pleasant stay and the host is interested in keeping the place in order.
