Vielen Dank!
Lovely home with a great host. Very helpful with getting is to the river and back for canoeing and kid perfect yard for happy hour wine. We will return!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Taire du Grel! The gite is very comfortable with ample seating space and a well equipped kitchen. Our boys particularly enjoyed the pool and the trampoline!

A l'extérieur, badminton, ping pong, trampoline...

Peaceful yet close to everything
Perfectly located for the river and loads of places in the region. It is a holiday you wont be spending ages in the car.
Ben was fantastic. We used his canoes, kayaks and bikes numerous times. It allowed us the flexibility to go wherever we wanted and not necessarily the tour company routes.
The gite is decorated to feel like a home, not a holiday home. The dog was allowed to wander around. All wonderful for a family holiday.

An amazing property with everything you need
We stayed in Hirondelles for two weeks during August, what a fabulous place, there is plenty to do in the local area, canoeing, cycling, climbing, towns, markets and adventure activities for the kids, 13,11 and 6. We also managed to include the odd day lounging by the pool. Ben and Maria could not be more helpful, nothing is too much trouble yet also leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone and will definitely try to visit again.

Great week in an amazing spot.
We had a great week in Taire Du Grel, we stayed in Les HIrondelles, with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms it was super spacious for our family of 4 and a dog. It is set in the middle of the garden with the pool very close by which was awesome. We ate every meal on the nice shady veranda (except breakfast as it was in the sun then). We had the added bonus that there were kids of a similar age in one of the other gite's so the kids had loads of fun. Hosts Ben and Maria were very informative about the area, had guidebooks and maps to offer and even directed us to a little known crag to take the kids rock climbing. The gite has canoes available and Ben dropped us off and picked us up so we could saunter gently downstream without having to paddle back.
I've never been to the dordogne before, and we barely managed to see anything in our week. We look forward to a return visit.

Little piece of paradise !
What a wonderful place for a break ! From the moment we arrived we could not have being made more welcome. Sunny and tranquil spot was perfect for our break ( too short !). The kids loved the pool, whilst the peace and quiet was ideal for us adults.
So good to have all the places to visit within a short drive and being able to walk to the stunning village of Domme was excellent. Great facilities at the gite, everything we needed, UK tv a bonus for the kids.
We will be back !! Thanks again Ben, Maria et al.

Beautiful setting near Domme
Throughly enjoyed our stay! Maria and Ben welcomed us upon arrival and helped us with our luggage to the gite.
The gite was beautiful and had everything you could need! The kitchen was stocked with those little extras which you need like cooking oil, tea, coffee and we had a bottle of sparkling wine for our arrival.
The view from our patio was amazing , with no houses in site just the countryside. The pool offered a similar view.
Maria and Ben had put together a folder in the gite with information on local markets , restaurants and places to visit. We went on trips out every day and ate in some fantastic restaurants. On the last evening there was a fire work night in Domme , which was such a lovely end to our holiday.
This area is such an amazing area in France with so many places to see and places to eat, I can't recommend it highly enough!
Definately plan to visit again.

Excellent Gite with large rooms and great facilities
There were 4 of us sharing this gite on a motorcycling holiday in April. The gite is ideally situated to explore the main attractions in the area and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners and can recommend this for a large family or two families sharing the accommodation.
Sarlet is only a short distance away as is Domme and with Carnac close by there is a wealth of cafe's and restaurants on offer as well as the convenience of a supermarket, fuel station and various other shops.
If you want to just chill out or explore it is a great place to be.
