Small and cozy studio apartment, completely renovated, with a loft bed and a complete bathroom. Ideal for a solo traveller or a young couple who wants to spend a short stay in the most lively district of old Florence, populated by artists and students from all over the world.
Description: The studio apartment (16 sqm) is located on the ground floor (two steps down) and has access from a small internal courtyard, which does not belong to the apartment except for the passage, but which makes the apartment away from street noise. At the top of the glass door there is a folding window. The apartment is completely renovated and consists of a living space with kitchen (equipped with a fridge, induction cooker and microwave, and equipped with all the necessary furnishings) and a seating area, with a 32 "flat-screen TV and 2 armchairs. Ceiling height of the sitting area 190 cm. On the living area opens a wardrobe and the full bathroom with large shower. The bed (inseparable double, mattress size cm 140x200) is located in a small loft (ceiling height 120 cm) reachable by climbing 10 steps. The apartment has WI-FI connection, independent air conditioning and heating.

The surroundings: The apartment is located in the Santa Croce district, in the south-east part of the historic center of Florence. All churches, museums and historic buildings can be reached on foot with a 5 to 20 minute walk. The famous Sant'Ambrogio market is just a short walk from the apartment, the Basilica of Santa Croce is a 5-minute walk away. The whole area is full of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, shops. The proximity of the Faculty of Architecture of the University means that the area is populated by Italian and foreign students, who in the evening enliven the many bars and clubs that overlook its squares and streets.
How to get: If you arrive in Florence by plane you can reach the apartment by taxi. Taxis apply a flat rate to and from the airport: €28 standard, €30 on holidays, €32 at night (from 10pm to 6am). If you arrive by train you have 3 options: walking (25 minutes), taxi (queue at the station exit), or electric bus C2, from the Orti Oricellari stop, which is found when exiting the station on the right side, direction Beccaria, stop Malborghetto. If you arrive by car, the nearest motorway exit is Firenze Sud. However, you should know that the house is located inside the ZTL (limited traffic zone, active weekdays from 07.30 to 20.00 and Saturdays from 07.30 to 16.00 and in the summer, from first Thursday of April to the first Sunday of October, also on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11.00 pm to 03.00 am the following morning), so pay close attention to limited access signs and telematic doors. The telematic access door to get to the apartment is in via dell'Agnolo. Then we advise you to park in the nearest underground paying car park, which is the S. Ambrogio parking lot or, if this was out of stock, the Piazza Beccaria parking lot, just a little further away. We inform you that these car parks do not offer a daily rate, but only an hourly rate. Copy this link to your browser to see the rates: Another possibility is to book a private garage, which has the possibility, by signaling your license plate, to allow you to go through the telematic door without taking a fine. The nearest garages are the Bargello garage, in via Ghibellina 170 / r, and the Garage Verdi, in via Giovanni Da Verrazzano 9. Copy these links to your browser for information and booking:

Great location...very clean...easy working with the host...
Loved Florence and this property suits the bill--great location just down from the Duomo...for older people (like me) the bedroom takes a little getting used to...but you can do it!
We loved staying here! It has everything you need, it’s a 10 minute walk to the Duomo or the river, and Sabrina was very helpful giving us restaurant suggestions. We would absolutely come back to stay.

Thanks for your review, Jeff. We are happy your stay was pleasant. You are welcome anytime!
The apartment is in a great location just on the outskirts of historic Florence with all the major historical landmarks within walking distance. The restaurant recommendations from our hosts were top notch and easily some of, if not the best, food we’ve had on our trip in Italy

Thank you, Connor. It was a pleasure for us to host you
Our stay here was nice! Sabrina communicated with us before check-in, throughout our stay to see how we were doing, and the day of our checkout. She was kind and knowledgeable.
The place is small, simple, and quiet. It is close to several small markets and restaurants. It is a very manageable walk from everything for an able-bodied person.
Great for travelers seeking a simple, quiet place. Would not recommend for travelers seeking luxury nor for less physically-able people.

Very small apartment near Piazza Santa Croce. Easy to walk around Florence. So many restaurants and sites nearby. Good location if you dont plan to spend a lot of time in the apartment.
You should be young and nimble to stay here, though. The bed loft area has very low ceilings so that you have to crawl i to bed not to hit your head. Also, staircase is a little dicey and not recommended for anyone lacking very sure feet.
Lastly, front door was a bit of a challenge. Remember to slam door shut so that the locking mechanism at the bottom of the door can engage.
The nido was perfect for our city break; nice and cosy with everything you need when you want to spend most of your time out and about. Felt very secure and safe and Sabrina was so hospitable and made us feel very welcome in Firenze. Would definitely recommend!
