About this property
A Stones Throw from the Beach :-)
A lovely spacious and comfortable property, around a minute walk from the 2023 Blue Flag award winning Weymouth beach and a stones throw from the train station. Just a four minute walk to the Marina/Harbour and Town Centre.
A three floor property, which is around 190 years old with some original features.
Recently redecorated but still keeping some of the homes original features. An open fire, wood flooring and the original staircase.
A three story late Georgian house in a bustling area of Weymouth. Three bedrooms (there is actually a fourth but we use it for storage and so it remains locked).
Bedroom 1 - Double, Bedroom 2 - Twin, Bedroom 3 - Twin
Facilities
Bath and Separate Shower
Washer/Dryer
Fridge/Freezer
Gas Hob/Electric Oven
Complimentary Tea/Coffee and Juice (and anything else you might find in the cupboards!)
Private space out the back for a quiet coffee or a bite to eat (traps the sun during the day, if there is any!!!)
Dining seating for 6
Comfy Sofa
TV with Netflix
Microwave
Free WiFi
Books
Toys and Games for the little ones
The position of the property really could not be any better. Across the road from two (4.5 out of 5 and 5 out of 5 tripadvisor pubs), plenty of shops nearby (Food Warehouse is a short walk away), a garage and fast food if you can't be bothered to cook!
The train station is literally across the road, so feel free to leave the car at home and 'let the train take the strain'.
If you do decide to drive, we can supply you a free residents parking permit for the duration of your stay, that is valid in an adjacent residential roads (please let us know your registration before you arrive, and we will supply you with the parking details). A parking space is not guaranteed but is on a first come first served basis. There are plenty of car parks surrounding the property for a few pounds per day
Let me know if you need any more information.
You will have the run of the house with access to the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Three bedrooms (there is a fourth but this remains locked for storage) and the small courtyard out back.
You may use all the facilities in the home including any food or drink that are in the cupboards or fridge (if you find any! 😀)
You may contact us at any point during your stay. You will be given two mobile numbers prior to arrival.
If anything not to your satisfaction upon arrival, please let us know within 24 hours so we can rectify.
Upon arrival, if you are driving, you might consider parking in the train station car park initially to get your bearings.
Once the car is unloaded you can then take the car to park in the dedicated residential parking, in about nine roads that surround the property.
I will send you a list of the road names prior to your arrival where you can park with the permit.
If parking is not available (it is first come first served for residential parking), then simply park in the train station car park for around 7 pounds a day. It’s literally across the road from the house. Alternatively, the Swannery carpark is across the road to the left about 100 yards away.
We particularly enjoy the two pubs across the road and the well known Chippy at the end of it. However, the property is so central to everything, that almost everything Weymouth has to offer is just a short stroll away.
Parking is a premium in Weymouth, although we do offer a complimentary parking permit for the duration, there are ample Buses and Trains to go further afield. The main bus station is close by and the Train station a minutes walk.
Sea-Life Centre is around 15-20 minute walk the beach is literally 'up the road'.

About the host
Hosted by Jamie Nash

We used to come to Weymouth a lot when our children were younger. I regard it as a quieter nicer sibling of Bournemouth. Bournemouth is too overcrowded and the beach is miles from the town. In Weymouth, everything is close by.
We purchased the property for our own use initially but with so many family, friends, friends of friends then wanting to use it. We have decided renting it out formally is a good idea. We've been renting it out on other sites for a while, which has been very successful.

Why they chose this property
The property came up at the right time. It was tip when we bought it, literally doors hanging off and no floor. So, we spent time decorating and now have somewhere we find comfortable.
