About this property

The Beach House is a former fisherman's cottage dating back to the 1700's which has been beautifully refurbished to provide a stunning holiday home. The cottage is situated in the centre of the Old Town, only a stone's throw from the beach and less than a minutes walk from the 199 steps and The Old Market Square where there are an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants.
The cottage has been beautufully decorared and comprises of 2 bedrooms,1 bathroom, Lounge/kitchen and outside seating area. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge/kitchen dining area. This cosy area has a stable door at the entrance and has been beautifully furnished with leather corner sofa, electric log burner, bench style table with bar stools and modern fitted kitchen with built in fridge, hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Sky TV.
On the first floor there is a twin bedroom with two single beds, dressing table, wardrobe, Sky TV. and views to the beach below.
Also situated on the first floor is the bathroom which has a bath with shower screen, sink, WC and heated towel rail. Stairs then lead up through a separate door to the top floor where there is a spacious Master Bedroom with superb views of the beach below and across the harbour. This bedroom has a double bed, dressing table, wardrobe and cosy seating area.
Outside there is a seating area for a breakfast 'cuppa' or evening glass of wine!

Outstanding property

We can't recommend The Beach House highly enough. The property was beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you could need. The location was perfect - in the middle of everything but away from the crowds. Victoria and David are lovely and super helpful. Lots to do in Whitby too, we will definitely be back!

Great little hideaway

Very pleasant, clean and will equipped with lots of character. Very handy for town especially east side. Lack of dedicated parking is a bit tricky but there are ways and means! Plus the best eateries are on the east side of town!

Great location in heart of Whitby

Tucked away off one of the main shopping streets its location is perfect for all that Whitby has to offer with no more than 10 mins to get to the other side of the Harbour.

Superb! Cost, comfortable and convenient!

We had the most lovely post-Christmas retreat at the beach house as a family of 5. I can’t recommend the house more highly! It has been thoughtfully and tastefully renovated to include every modern comfort you could ask for while maintaining its charm and character as a fisherman’s cottage. The property is so close to pubs, shops and restaurants but is tucked away so well you could hear a pin drop at night. The washing machine was a real bonus (travelling with kids, helped enourmously) and the beds were so comfortable, with feather duvets and pillows. Thank you Victoria for a wonderful experience back in Whitby, we would certainly like to stay here again should we be lucky enough to return!
