Pretty detatched cottage with all the comforts of home

Pretty detatched cottage with all the comforts of home. Jeannete's fresh farm eggs on the table for us on our arrival. The cottage is set in quiet countryside, yet convenient for exploring the area. A week wasn't really long enough to do everything we wanted! Nice outdoor eating area in our secluded garden. Great for those sunny days when we were able to eat outdoors. Comfortable beds, good shower, nice kitchen and comfy lounge. Altogether, everything we needed for a lovely week. Would love to stay again on any future Scottish trip.

We have a love of the Highlands - visiting on a regular basis for family holidays nad in the last 25 year plus for the Salmon fishing .
The Mill House was purchased two years after The Steading and Burnside Cottage all within the grounds of the Mill of Camserney which now form part of our Small Holding, to complete a two cottage holiday offerning - Camserney Mill Cottages

Why they chose this property

The Mill House is quirky, spacious, comfortable and rural - idyllic tranquil setting - yet only three miles from the nearest small but lively town of Aberfeldy.
It is ideally placed for exploration, but when you want a 'day off' from touring , you can relax in beautiful surroundings.

What makes this property unique

The sound of our own Burn (and a spot of trout fishing on our door step).
Easy travelling distance to several famous fishing beats on the Tay and the Tummel. Stalking on Rannoch moor. Ski-ing and Snowboarding at Glenshee.
Something for everyone to enjoy amidst stunning Highland scenery.
The Cottage is set within our smallholding . We started with 6 Soay ewes and 2 rams, a rare Hebridean breed - very inquisitive - they will come right up to you (especially if you have sheep nuts to feed them!). We had lambing (singles, twins and even triplets) for two seasons and achieved a flock of 20 plus three breeding rams. Unfortunately we had re-home them in March 2021 to the Cairngorm National Park. They can still be seen by visiting @ wildfarming.co.uk. The same people also have the reindeer farm.
Keith had a stroke in the summer of 2020 and I could not continue to care for them singlehanded - but they are missed. We do have managed to keep on the free range hens who provide wonderful fresh eggs which you will be able to sample during your stay. Subject to availability additional supplies can be purchased!
