We booked this lovely cottage for three nights to attend a wedding. The property is lovely & in a great location. We ate in the Selkirk Arms & the food was excellent. Would book this property again.
We had a lovely stay in this accommodation in Kirkcudbright which was close to the local amenities.
We enjoyed the local walks and the local restaurants. The house was well maintained and met our needs.
The cottage is lovely, plenty of room and with everything you need. The location was good, in the centre of Kirkcudbright near to the shops and with a few local cafes, pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. This is a great place just to relax and unwind with good access for a few local days out. Definitely worth seeing the Red Kite feeding station and the red squirrels at Threave Estate.
Absolutely as described. Everything very clean/new and everything you could need for a comfortable stay.
We know the area so went walking to our favourite places. There was plenty of suggested routes in the information folder in the house.
Highly recommend this property and will go back.
beautiful cottage, unfortunally with the possibility to stay outdoors
Nearley everything worked out fine; a few things (fridge cupholder and the towel rail in the upper bathroom) were not 100 percent usable (because they were partly broken or poorly repaired).
My husband and I enjoyed a three night stay at the cottage. Very comfortable beds, clean, well presented and very well taken care of. Loved the little touches, pictures, books and dvds available.
Thank you for lovely stay
This is a lovely, well appointed, cosy and comfortable holiday home in the heart of Kirkcudbright. A great place to visit: art galleries, antique shops, history, beaches and wonderful countryside to explore, literally on your doorstep. The accommodation provided us with everything we could wish for and our hosts were excelent. A great holiday.
Recently restored and refurbished, Providence Cottage is conveniently situated in the attractive artistic town of Kirkcudbright. The accommodation comprises a ground floor kitchen/dining area and large, comfortable sitting room, two bedrooms and a large shower room on the first floor, and an additional sitting area (and shower room) on the top floor, reached by a narrow spiral staircase. This was lovely to sit in on a sunny late afternoon - not sop pleasant when the rain was hitting the roof! Everything has been finished to a high standard, the beds in particular being very comfortable. We stayed a week and could find no faults.
WOW ! What can I say , this is a fabulous cottage , everything you need , very very clean , and beautifully decorated to a very high standard, walking distance to the town , had dinner on the Sunday night in the Selkirk arms which was delicious, we would definitely recommend
Very tasteful & homely high spec cottage, in a lovely traditional & quiet area, a literal stone's throw from the town centre, harbour and attractions. Highly recommended.
The property is spacious, newly refurbed to a very high standard, with traditional decor and furniture.
Plenty of room and facilities. Useful information and guide books provided. Good communication with the owners, if needed. It was hard to leave as we felt so relaxed and at home there. Would definitely stay again.
