This was our second time to the property. Perfect location for Carbis bay with it's beautiful beach and train to st Ives, with all the amenities it offers. The apartment is perfect for a small family, recently renovated.
The apartment was the perfect location for Carbis Bay and St Ives with the train being just a short walk.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean. Great communication with the host. We would definitely recommend.
Location to Carbis bay beach superb and with rail service to St ives 200 yards away fantastic access to town with no parking problems. Apartment ideal for 3-4 adults and Lucy was timely in all comms. Early check out for COVID was not great so we left early pm a day early and spent the afternoon in North Cornwall so not a problem for us.
Small, modern, bright and fully equipped apartment some three hundred metres from the beach. We took the apartment for a week at the very start of the season and found it to be an excellent base from which to visit the St. Ives area of Cornwall. The apartment was very clean, had wi-fi, a smart tv, washing machine, dishwasher and (pod) coffee machine. During our stay we communicated with both the owner and the lady who manages the property and found both to be polite, understanding and extremely helpful.

Lovely clean apartment in a great location. Would certainly recommend staying here.
We stayed in cornwall for our first time with our two children aged 7 & 4.
Before arriving Lucy communicated with us via email in regards to our stay which I found very helpful.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a very very clean and tidy apartment with lovely fresh towels and bedding. Everything you could need for your holiday was in the apartment. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a washing machine and dishwasher.
The location of the apartment was fantastic. Very short walk to a lovely clean beach and next to the train station. St Ives is only a train stop away or short drive. You can also walk there via the coastal walk which was lovely to do and the views were amazing.
There was lots to do in cornwall and using the apartment as a base worked perfect for us.
I wold highly recommend staying here.

The bath in the bathroom was not useable during our 10 day visit. The plumber didn't fix the bath faucet, he made a temporary fix so we were able to use the shower, but didn't return to make the bath faucet useable.
The appartment is very damp when using the indoors bathroom, there are not enough ventilation options available. (bathroom ventilator and open windows are not sufficient enough)
Too much notices, friendly notices and guidelines around the appartment (every wall and the information map is covered with this information)
Nevertheless the appartment is well situated nearby the railway station for a visit to St. Ives (3 mins walk) and the beach (after a steep downhill, don't forget the steep uphill back, walk), we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend visiting St. Ives for a holiday

Dear Ronald,
Thank you for your feed back, of course these are your views but I have to say the bath was still usable as of course the shower is over the bath and can be filled from this. The plumber would have had to strip the shower system down so did not return to avoid any disturbance.
The friendly notices, train times, local map, wifi code etc... around the apartment are there to simply guide guests to a smoother stay as of course clients feel it helps them adjust to the property quickly and therefore enjoy their holiday. I do not feel how the notices would impact on your holiday in a negative way.
The apartment is not at all damp and I wish to reassure my guests this is not the case the ventilation system fully complies with building regulations and no other guest has ever had an issue with this. Of course I cannot comment on how you lived in the apartment but it is definitely not damp.
I would also say our brand new washer /dryer would also have helped you not to dry wet clothing in the apartment as you mentioned this on your feedback form.

Apartment was lovely - clean and well equipped . Just a two minute walk to the station and then a 5 minute train ride to St Ives . Carbis bay beach just a 5 minute walk too.

Had lovely week in this apartment. Very well equipped and comfortable. Our party consisted of 3 adults I feel that 4 would have been very cosy! Lovely position above the beach.
A lovely apartment which has everything that you need close to St Ives by foot or a 3 minute train ride. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Loved the apartment and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Everything you needed was there and it is obvious the owner takes a pride in her property. We had a great week, just what we needed in these uncertain times.
Lovely clean and convenient apartment withing walking distance of Carbis Bay.
Tesco's is a 5 min drive away and there's a nice walk to St Ives that's much easier than finding parking if you want a day walking round the harbour.

Really enjoyed our stay at Bay Retreat l. The apartment was really close to the beach and was a great place to explore Cornwall from.
We'll definitely be staying again when we head to Cornwall in the future!
Was great accommodation in a great spot. Very comfortable, a quiet place handy for the station. We parked the car on arrival and didn’t drive again until the morning we left.
Super Wohnung, schön gelegen nah am Strand.

Great apartment, nicely located close to the beach. Also the surroundings and nearby other villages: beautiful! Come again!
We enjoyed our week here. The flat was modern and comfortable with everything we needed. Lucy was very helpful and friendly.
We found the little branch line train very useful and rarely took the car although we visited many local places.
The only slight reservations were that we understood all flats had a view across the sea - ours was in the second row back. The on line photo was unclear.
Secondly there was nothing local - no cafe, no shop, nothing within a 20 minute uphill walk. So it was supermarket shopping :(
This aside we would thoroughly recommend Compass Point.

I am pleased you enjoyed the apartment and its great location. Being only a few minutes walk down to the white sands of Carbis Bay Beach and a three minute train ride into St Ives.
I am sorry to hear you missed some of the local amenities in Carbis Bay including beach restaurant and cafe, grocery shop, hairdressers, pharmacy, Italian restaurant, and others, a great fish & chip shop all can be found along St Ives Road.

Perfect for what we needed for a relaxing week. Very comfortable, clean and close to Carbis Bay beach. Well equipped kitchen for when we wanted to eat in. We met Lucy when we arrived and she was very welcoming and helpful with ideas of where to visit. St Ives is close by and quite walkable along the coast path or you can take the train (3 mins) for £1! Location is great for exploring much of west Cornwall with many stunning beaches, coves and coastal walks all within about 40 mins drive.
