Paddy’s bar is a few minutes walk away along the shore road . Half an hours drive from Westport and Castlebar a great location for walking , cycling fishing and Golf . Fully secure garden and parking for four cars . Pub and shop in the Village .

Super location but kitchen is a mess and smells damp.

The location is wonderful in walking distances to the lake. Within 30 minutes you can reach Westport or Ballinrobe (shopping), Claremorris is 40 minutes and Galway just over one hour away. The clowe by pub (Paddy's Bar) is only open on Sundays.The status of the house:Upstairs and the ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom has been updated/renovated recently. The dining area and living room are functional.In general the house feels damp and needed lots of airing.The kitchen and utility room are in a real mess.Kitchen: ALL plates, glasses, pots, pans, cuttlery or kitchen tools were sticky or durty and needed cleaning before usage. The fridge does not cool properly, the microwave is getting hot (externally) and switching off after short time in use. A BBQ is available but we did not use in the end, after lifting the lid.The house could be a wonderful place, if the hygiene level and the state of the kitchen and facility room would be acceptable.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für den Westen der Insel

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist etwas älter aber sauber. Als wir Handtücher nachgeordert haben, wurden diese zeitnah zur Verfügung gestellt. Die nähere Umgebung und der Ausblick vom Haus sind phänomenal. Wir würden das Haus erneut buchen.

Wunderbarer Seeblick

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in dem gemütlichen und gut ausgestatteten Haus sehr genossen. Insgesamt ist das Haus jedem zu empfehlen, der Ruhe und einen guten Ausgangspunkt für den eher rauen Westen sucht, und längere Anfahrtswege an die Küste nicht scheut. Die Seelage und die Seeblicke sind jedoch einmalig.

The property had a beautiful view, but property covered with glies

Overall the property was generally clean and basic. Alot of cobwebs (inside & out) and flies (dead and alive). The stairs to 3 bedrooms upstairs was unsafe, too steep and carpet nails and rips were dangerous throughout the house. The central heating was only warm upstairs and bearly tepid downstairs. The ensuite shower down stairs was modern, but smells of blocked & dirty drain and also had very poor water pressure. Overall we would not recommend the accommodation due to safety of the stairs.

We are pleased that you thought that our house was generally clean. Unfortunately , we have been unable to travel from England this year to give the place a deep clean. This has now been done and the carpet repaired. There was a blockage in the shower drain which has now been cleared. We cannot understand why the central heating was not working properly and why there was a problem with the water pressure.. The boiler and radiators are serviced regularly. and we have a plumber who will come out at short notice. We have never had a problem with the water pressure. The stairs are steep but not unsafe and there is a clear photo of the stairs on the website..
