About the host
Hosted by Michael Henderson

We are a family of four with 2 boys. We love mountain biking, skiing, hillwalking, canoeing - any outdoor activities really! We live in Edinburgh but try to escape up to the house ourselves as often as we can.
Why they chose this property
Lovely woodland and riverside walks and off-road biking from the door. Beautiful scenery, totally peaceful and amazing starry skies. Heaps to do for all ages in the area. Great wee village shop and butcher.
What makes this property unique
We love the house because it's roomy but cosy at the same time. It's in such a peaceful location and the garden is really big and enclosed, with dozens of trees - perfect for kids exploring and building dens and watching the red squirrels. It's great to have the large play room with the TV and table tennis table separate from the quiet lounge! It's also our home from home so it has lots of extra touches, equipment, books, games etc
