A lovely cosy cottage oozing character with beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings & lots of extra
A lovely cosy cottage oozing character with beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings & lots of extras (books, DVDs & board games) plus really useful information file about the locality etc provided. It was also a real treat to have so many basic provisions provided such as toilet paper, soap, condiments, cooking oil etc & a super welcome pack was waiting for us & the dogs which was very gratefully received after a long days drive. Great to get in, put the kettle on for a much needed cuppa & have fresh milk & biccies swiftly followed by a glass of fizz all ready & waiting for us; marvellous & a great start to a lovely week. Arriving straight after Christmas another super touch was the festive decorations & Christmas tree which helped extend our Christmas into the New Year & despite some raging storms it was lovely to snuggle down in such a cozy, comfy cottage. The location too was spot on with an excellent little village shop, walks & a great dog friendly pub & a bar all within 5 minutes walk plus only 10-15 minutes drive from Amble or Shilbottle for takeaways with many more dining options & supermarkets plus close to the A1 & other major routes for Northumberland’s many sightseeing destinations. Fabulous & highly recommended.
Amazing cottage everything you needed , would highly recommend!

One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in...
Selina and Phil were excellent hosts - great communicators, providing additional information on what we could do with our children, and leaving us some treats for our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble.
The cottage itself was a true home from home. We've stayed in many holiday cottages over the years and I can honestly say this has to be one of, if not the best. There was absolutely nothing that wasn't catered for. No little thoughts about "If only I had a XXX" as it was all there. Even down to the details of dressing gown in the wardrobe, additional throws folded on the sofas and bedroom chairs in case we were a little chilly etc etc.
The master bedroom was incredibly spacial and it was lovely to have room to move around without everything being cramped in.
All of the decor was as brand new - a lovely contemporary feel within the cottage which worked really well and felt very fresh and vibrant, even on the stormiest of Northumberland days!
The lounge was beautifully cozy with the fire on and the curtains closed.
The bathroom was very clean and modern (and beautifully warm). Even in here all additional extras that you could ever want had been left - not that we needed them but just proves how much thought Phil and Selina have put into their holiday home.
The location was very quiet Walking distance to the pub and a beautiful little artisan bakery. Easy driving distance of beaches, castles etc.
All in all a wonderful holiday. Thank you so much Selina and Phil for all your hospitality; we really appreciated it.
