Butter Bay apartment has a wonderful ground floor living area inclusive of a super king size bedroom, with views of the Avon Estuary, a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom and an open plan kitchen lounge. The bathroom is equipped with a wide shower, toilet and sink. The lounge doubles up as additional accommodation for guests on the single sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, an oven and hob, under-counter fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. Access to Butter Bay is via the outside door just around the side of the Main House

Butter Bay has a parking space for one car in the private driveway area in front of the Main House

Stunning area, nice apartment but a little disappointed

The area of Bantham is stunningly beautiful and also the other parts of the South Hams. We enjoyed our stay, but feel as a constructive critique, we felt the online listing portrayed a front of house, bottom apartment with garden. On arrival, although still pleasant, we found it was at the rear of the property and on enquiring We were told that the garden didn’t come with butter bay. So we were disappointed and felt the online advertising was a little misleading. However, the apartment was clean and nice and well looked after. It is pleasant to wake up to the estuary views. So although initially disappointed, it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of Beautiful Bantham.

The beach itself is a water sports paradise. Miles of golden sand, crystal clear water and incredible waves. Grab a Surf Board, Kayak or a Stand-Up Paddleboard and head on down to this pristine beach, less than five minutes walk from the house.
If a sunbathe and a good book are more your thing, the Avon estuary beach is a calmer, quieter spot for you to relax and unwind. Whatever you choose to do - White Horses provides the ideal base to enjoy this incredible location any time of the year.
