Sixth house from the beach and we have private parking!! Our bungalows are so close to the beach that at night you will fall asleep listening to the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Brighton Beach Bungalows are private and peaceful yet, only 100 feet to the sand and sea. The beach here is awesome! It is a broad, beautiful, clean, sandy beach, which offers rest and relaxation or fun in the sun. You can have it all at our Brighton Beach Bungalows.

Our bungalows have all the comforts of home, overstuffed sleepers sofas, queen sized pillow-top stress-o-pedic beds dressed in luxury linens and down. The kitchens feature all the essentials to inspire the chef in you. Whirlpool tubs are so relaxing at the end of the day after enjoying your fun in the sun at the beach. The outdoor barbeque and fenced courtyard is the perfect spot to gather and enjoy the evening sea breeze or morning coffee. Energizing your spirit and soothing your soul is our goal at Brighton Beach Bungalows.

The town of Ocean Beach was laid out and named in 1888. It is the ultimate beach town and offers visitors many fine ways to spend the day. Swimming, surfing, body surfing, tanning, kite flying, tide pools, fishing, sailing, water-skiing, jet skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, bonfires, star gazing and sunset watching are a few activities Ocean Beach has to offer. Our claim to fame is the fishing pier just a couple of blocks to the south. At 1,971 feet, the Ocean Beach Pier is supposed to be the longest concrete pier in the world. It has a T-shape at the end extending 360 feet to the south and 193 feet to the north end. The south end extends into the Point Loma kelp beds and has a view of the tide pools and Sunset cliffs. A perfect spot to watch sea life or the sun fade into the ocean.

Every Wednesday evening, in town, we have a Farmers Market with live music. Ocean Beach has many great restaurants, coffeehouses and lots of local shopping. The San Diego airport is only five miles away and airport transportation can be arranged. Sit back and rest your mind, your body and your soul at Brighton Beach Bungalows.

If you still need more to explore, there is all the sight and sounds of San Diego the finest city in Southern California. We have the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland, Padres, Chargers, Gas Lamp District, Museums, Balboa Park, and the Point Loma Lighthouse to get you started. A car is needed if you want to visit these locations. If you do bring a car, do not worry about parking because we have garages for you to use at the Brighton Beach Bungalows.

It was great to have a dedicated parking spot as this bungalow was so close to the beach. My husband appreciated the ash tray and comfy patio set. Everything was as advertised and we were very happy with our stay.

Amazing Place to Stay

Brighton Beach Bungalow was an amazing place to stay! Communication with the owner, Laurie, was great and she was always helpful and accommodating. The bungalow was perfect for me and my teenage son. The bed was comfortable and so was the pullout couch. Everything we needed for the beach was available for us to use. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach and it was great! There were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance too. This was the perfect place to stay and if we make it to the Ocean Beach area in the future we would love to stay here again!

Fantastic location

Staying at Brighton Beach Bungalows made our trip easier for everything - we came to San Diego with my daughter for her to move in to San Diego State University: access to the beach where we could go for a dip every morning and/or evening (we were not on vacation), access to the highway I-5 that we needed to take everyday to SDSU, the shower in the front courtyard, the garage, the restaurants/coffee shops and the organic grocery shop all walking distance in the neighborhood! The kitchen was practical and very well equipped. The only thing I strongly suggest to improve is the air circulation inside the bungalow. While it was cool in the morning and evenings outside, unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the cool temperature that much as it stayed hot and stuffy inside due to the fact that the bungalow is tightly surrounded by a wooden fence (as most of them in the neighborhood are) so it doesn't allow for proper air circulation, even when we kept both front and back doors open and that there is no AC. The floor and ceiling fans are bulky and very noisy so it is was uncomfortable and inconvenient to put them on at night but we had to. The ceiling one in the bedroom needs to be replaced with new generation of quiet, green/Eco-friendly fans and/or install AC units of the same - it will dramatically improve the comfort of this place. Overall we were happy with our stay. Laurie was very responsive and helped with everything we needed, recommending some restaurants/cafes in the neighborhood (all walking distance) and including granting us a late check-in and check-out . So thank you Laurie for being so kind and flexible. We will come back! Warmly, Farida Brouwer

Thank you for choosing Brighton Beach Bungalows. Today we installed Air Conditioning in both Bungalows. Our current guests were commenting how they have been chilled at night and didn’t need the A/C. So if we do have another crazy heat wave we are ready with A/C. We really appreciate your business and hope to see you on your next visit to San Diego.

AC is only in the bedroom and loud not working as should. contacted owner let them know we are living their reply was sorry to hear safe travels. even in a heat wave, the AC should have been cold with bedroom door closed and extremely loud its not working right. will not stay again taken advantage of by the owner

Very Nice Bungalow

The bungalow was very nice, clean, and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need and full sized appliances. All linens and towels provided, even beach towels. Comfortable sofa to enjoy an evening watching TV. The street is packed with parked cars. So glad for the off street parking provided in the garage. Walking distance to the beach and to the small community. The only negative was it is in the flight path of the airport so it can get a bit noisy. This would not stop us from renting this bungalow again. All in all a very nice and comfortable stay.

We also appreciated the filtered water picture in the refrigerator. The towels and beach chairs were very handy and good quality. Too hot to sleep comfortabley on sofa sleeper but the bedroom was cooled by window air conditioner.

Lovely Little Place

We spend a lot of time in SD usually on Mission or Pacific but wanted a little slower pace so chose OB. Short walk to the beach and dog beach, coffee shops and eateries. Enjoyed this little duplex very much, would love if they would consider dogs so we could bring them next time and the close proximity to dog beach!

Absolutely perfect!

We rented for a short 4 day stay kid free! We fkew into SD and the house was only 15m from the airport. When we got in a local guided us to Newport Ave for the food, breweries, and cool shops. It was a quick walk and we took scooters 1 day, which was terrifying but even quicker (we were hungry that day). The beach was about 50 feet from the front door. We spent a few nights on the sand watching the world go by and being hypnotized by the sounds of the ocean. The owner was so nice and t3nded to every question and need attentively. I would highly recommend this place for a couple. Maybe even with kids...sleeping on the sofa bed. We will be back! Five stars from us!!!!
