About this property

Railway Cottage - character cottage, walking distance to restaurant/bakery

A perfect location for a memorable holiday for all the family.

Spacious 4 bed cottage on the edge of town so easy to walk in to enjoy a meal out or stay home and use the great kitchen, or even the BBQ, for a slap up meal in the comfort of your cottage. A huge pool (seasonal) with plenty of space for everyone, over 3 acres of gardens for you to enjoy. The town is famous for its Wednesday morning market, is just 10 minutes from the beach at the lake. There is loads to do for the whole family!

This is a large comfortable character cottage which has a well equipped kitchen, large lounge and lovely dining space with gorgeous beamed ceilings and lovely woodburner in case it gets chilly. There are four good sized bedrooms, 2 x double (one on the ground floor), 1 x family room with double & bunk beds and 1 x twin. All your bed linen is provided free of charge. There are two full bathrooms plus another separate WC and we will also provide towels included in the price too.

You can enjoy your evenings on your private patio area, cook a great BBQ and enjoy all the space here.

On the enclosed, shared terrace there are family outdoor games plus you have access to all the garden games for when you are feeling energetic. There are 3 acres for you all to enjoy. The communal secure pool and area is fabulous and reaches temperatures in the high 30's often. There is a selection of comfortable loungers, seats and toys so you can enjoy your time by the pool. We'll provide you with swimming towels free of charge to use for your stay.

Nearby you are spoilt for choice with things to do with the stunning town of Brantome being only 30 minutes away, a fantastic swimming lake just 10 minutes away for fun on the beach in St Estephe, nearby go-karting, a winery and beer manufacturing all within a short drive. Plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Of course there is free WiFi for you to use and if you request in advance we are more than happy to also provide a cot and a highchair.

Check in is between 4pm and 8pm and check out is by 10am. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. Please note that there are a further 2 gites on this site so the gardens and pool are shared but all gites have their own private patio/outdoor space.

Location décevante par rapport à la description

Attention, gîte partagé (3 en tout), non précisé dans l'annonce abritel (grande déceptionà l'arrivée). Très bonne literie avec linge d'hôtel. Grand trampoline à l'extérieur qui nous a sauvé entre 2 averses. Grande piscine sécurisée et agréable et grands espaces extérieurs bien entretenu. En revanche matériel de cuisine en mauvais état (poêle plus que vieille) manque de couvert et d'ustensiles de cuisine. Petite salle de bain sans rangement, avec souvent eau très chaude ou eau très froide. Pas de jeux ni de livres pour les jeunes enfants, nous étions en location pendant une semaine particulièrement pluvieuse donc compliqué avec autant d'enfants en intérieur. Il était compliqué d'étendre son linge (étendoir dans le gîte dispo en bois qui tâche le linge).

Merci d'avoir pris le temps d'évaluer votre séjour. Nous sommes désolés que vous n'ayez pas compris, d'après l'annonce (qui mentionnait le partage du jardin et de la piscine), qu'il y avait plus d'un gîte sur le site. Nous avons déjà mis à jour l'annonce pour que ce soit plus clair. Malheureusement, vous ne nous avez pas fait part de vos préoccupations pendant votre séjour, car nous aurions pu les résoudre rapidement pour vous. Nous avons beaucoup de jeux disponibles pour le prêt (mais ils ne sont pas dans les gîtes en raison de Covid et des exigences de nettoyage), nous aurions pu échanger votre séchoir à linge pour un autre et nous aurions pu vous montrer le stockage dans la salle de bains. Nous travaillons déjà à résoudre le problème de la pression de l'eau en fonction de vos commentaires lors de votre départ. L'équipement de la cuisine n'a pas plus de 18 mois depuis son installation, je suis donc surpris mais désolé qu'il n'ait pas répondu à vos attentes - si vous avez des recommandations ou des suggestions spécifiques sur les articles de cuisine qui auraient amélioré vos vacances avec nous, il serait bon de les entendre afin que nous puissions les améliorer pour les futurs clients. Je suis vraiment heureux que vous ayez apprécié la piscine et le jardin et les jeux qui étaient disponibles. Kate et Julian

Le séjour s'est super bien passé, le gite et les hôtes sont accueillants. Facilité de joindre les hôtes très appréciable. Le jardin et la piscine sont extrêmement bien entretenus, ce qui rend le séjour que plus agréable.

Séjour agréable au vert

Nous avons passé trois nuits dans ce gîte en famille (9 pers). Kate nous accueilli chaleureusement et avec le sourire. Je la remercie pour les cadeaux de bienvenue ( aussi bien pour nous que pour nos amis a 4 pattes). J ai particulièrement apprécié la fraîcheur de la maison, les clôtures pour la sécurité des enfants et aussi pour notre chien, les espaces, la piscine malgré sa fraîcheur et la variété d équipement mis à disposition. Le centre de piegut et sa tour sont accessibles à pied. Je recommande chaleureusement ce gite.
