Sandalwood Apartment

Sandalwood is our newest property: a beautiful two double bedroom, ground floor apartment. This apartment is perfect for family breaks and is also an ideal getaway for people with limited mobility with just one step at the front door, then level access throughout, including a walk in shower (no bath). We welcome up to two dogs for a small fee.



This modern apartment hosts a large open plan lounge with a large 55" smart television. The open plan lounge and kitchen allows fun, family times and a sociable area. The bay window area provides a view of the sea. This apartment is perfect for families, people who love travelling with their pets, people with mobility issues.



Both bedrooms have luxurious double beds, 22" televisions, touch-powered lamps, hanging rails and convenient storage for clothes. Additional throws and pillows are provided for your comfort if needed. Please note that in one of the bedrooms, there is access to one side of the bed only.



We have recently been accredited by Visit England so guests can confidently book with us knowing we are trustworthy, safety compliant and put our guest's needs first.



We also provide dogs beds, dog towels, dog bowls and treats... including a warm water dog shower in the courtyard for your canine family members. We welcome up to two dogs for a small fee.



There is free street parking right outside. The train station is 5 minutes from the apartment in the bustling town full of eateries, bars and boutique shops. There are some amazing walks along the Cleveland Way, you will not get bored in Saltburn.

Beautiful Saltburn by the sea

Gorgeous apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ideal base for long walks on the beach and lovely Saltburn or going further afield. Very dog friendly and catered for with bed and treats too! Thank you, we will definitely book again.

Good for a short stay

Location great for Beach and Saltburn Town. Apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen too small to cook anything significant - no space to chop anything and could have been a bit warmer (except front bedroom that did get cosy). I would stay again for a short stay of 2/3 evenings but not big enough for 4 adults for longer than that.

Great with grandson. He loved it. Travelled to Whitby 25 miles,Redcar lovely beach. Very nice park nearby in saltburn with miniature railway down to the beach. Saltburn cliff tramway from beach to the town.

Wonderful home from home

We had a fantastic holiday at Sandalwood. The quality of the accommodation is superb. Quality furnishings and really of cosy, despite cold temps outside. Rooms spacious Kitchen was well equipped. Great tv, comfy sofa. Shower powerful and good temp - perfect after a long run along coast. The location is brilliant - literally a couple of minutes walk from sea front at the end of street. Parking on street near property was not a problem. Host, Lorna was very prompt with communication making our whole stay smooth. We'd love to return again. Thank you Lorna!

Sandalwood Apartment, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Yorkshire. April 2024

A home from home! My daughter & I had a lovely week exploring Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Whitby, Skelton, York, Thornton-le-Dale, the Moors, Helmsley, Redcar etc! The apartment is in a great location with all the required necessities & the bonus of free parking on the road outside the apartment. The apartment was clean upon arrival and check-in was smooth (with a keycode being sent to my phone via text). The owners were both easily contactable and we had peace of mind knowing that they lived nearby if there had been any issues. We were able to log-in to our usual streaming services on the main TV (and remembered to log-out before leaving the apartment!). The smaller TVs in each of the bedrooms only had freeview so were not really used that much in the evenings..... mainly we were too tired after all the walking!! There is a small supermarket is just up the road which is handy for any food or drinks required for your stay, which means that you dont have to pack the car to the brim!! We would happily recommend 'Sandalwood' to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Why they chose this property

This ground floor apartment situated in the prime location close to town and the beach, is perfect for however you want to spend your day. There is a warm water dog shower to rinse your furry friends off after a day running through Valley Gardens, across the top of Huntcliffe and on the beach. The apartment is fully stocked with fleecey and woollen throws, as well as the state of the art Nest central heating to make sure you remain cosy on those cold days.

On those warmer days, there is a quaint, fully secured courtyard to unwind in and enjoy. There are many restaurants, pubs and bars that have lovely sunny gardens and courtyards to make the most of the sun. The apartment has a bucket and spade and games for the little ones...and big ones if needed.

What makes this property unique

Saltburn is a hidden gem found on the Jurassic coastline. This up and coming town hosts a range of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants...with more to come. If this is not your style, there is a wide sandy beach which goes for miles.... or you could venture through the Valley Gardens, take a ride on the miniature railway , play some crazy golf.... then finish with some award winning fish and chips on the pier.

This apartment is located perfectly between the beach and the bustling town so it is perfect for everyone. Saltburn is very accommodating for dogs, including ourselves, we have a list of dog friendly bars and restaurants within our welcome folder. Visit England have recently accredited our accommodation thus ensuring we are trustworthy and following safety guidelines.
