Great get-a-way

We spent Thanksgiving here as a family and we had a great time! It was very comfortable with beautiful views. Plenty of peach and quiet but not too far from the Pigeon Forge area.

Thanksgiving Get away

Had a great time, and was just far enough from the main attractions, and very quite. The hot tub was great, and clean, and the tram down to the lake was fun. We had 6 people, and plenty of room to sleep. Spent a lot of time on the deck. GREAT VIEW. We will come back, again. Happy there was a small grocery store just minutes away.

So glad you had a good time. Since your booking in November 2019, there has been a King Bed, a queen bed and new sleeper sofas added. Pictures coming soon. Future Guests: This home is just outside of Dandridge City Limits and close to I-40 and Bass Pro. We offer return guests discounts and would love to hear from you again. Thank you for your nice review. Very appreciated. Lynda Smoky Mountain Lake, LLC

Quiet family getaway

Being a frontline nurse, dealing with the pandemic my family and I need time away to regroup and relax. The home was a perfect, the setting was secluded and checking in and out was quick and easy. We could have not been more pleased!

Absolutly beautiful, from the view to the lake to the stay in the community.

Lovely, beautifully maintained in every aspect. It was the perfect vacation home. The Tram Ride down to the lake and the view were one of the memorable events of the stay. The Deck and layout were perfect for everyone who visited. And the Hot Tub and grill area beautifully accented each other, providing an open fire to warm by and make s'mores and cooking while enjoying the view. Thank You for allowing us to enjoy the property. John David

We are so glad you had a great time and made mention of how the house is being maintained. We had a bit of bad start this year with a late spring clean but the rest of the season went great!!! And your wonderful review for your Fall stay makes me feel very pleased. Please mention you are a past guest when coming back to Douglas Lake next time! Thank you, Lynda - Smoky Mountain Lake, LLC

Great place to stay

We had a great weekend at the Lazy Lake Chalet. It was cozy and felt like home away from home to us. We can't wait to go back and stay again.

The property is in need of a revamping.

The lake was beautiful cabin needs to be improved, bugs everywhere, shower curtain needs to be replaced. The pullout couch very uncomfortable. The hot tub was nice and the tram was nice but if you wanted to walk the steps very unsafe steps to lake are eroding away in many places.

Response from VrboOwner on 5 Mar 2020
Unfortunately, this guest arrived before the spring clean was done by the owners and the outside was in dire need of detailing (hence the bug comment). We had that done immediately (inside and out) after this guest checked out . As I have said before, I have never been on a comfortable pull out couch. We did check it and it was in good working order and is functional. As for the steps, these steps are not to be used and the access to them is actually locked. We have replaced the shower curtain and bathroom rugs. Since we do not like getting anything less than 5 stars, we made sure all issues were addressed before the next guest. I am the owner & designated agent (#38 in state) of Smoky Mountain Lake, LLC. We are a licensed Vacation Lodging Company (#113 in the State of Tennessee). I have been renting homes on Douglas & Cherokee Lakes since 1995. Our company has been online since 1999, longer than most websites online today.

Why they chose this property

This is a wooded, secluded lot on Douglas Lake with a deep water cove that offers year-round lake access and views. The owners have updated the dock and gangplank to offer a fixed solution to the fluctuating water levels of Douglas Lake.

What makes this property unique

This property is secluded but close to attractions. It is unique in that it has a tram system that transports guests and their gear to the dining area near the water and the steps to the dock area.
