Set back overlooking the garden to the front, adjacent to the owner’s home, Broats Barn has been completely refurbished in 2019 to a good standard. This semi-detached cottage features original beams and exposed stonework throughout. Upon entering Broats Barn there is a lovely living room leading through to a warm and welcoming kitchen complimented by the Aga, the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with family or friends. We also offer a VIP (Very Important Pooch) welcome pack. Each pack includes delicious biscuits, a comfy dog bed and a water bowl. The owners also hold an emergency supply of blankets, towels, toys, and more, just in case you forget to bring these essentials from home.



Perfectly located within this small village, Broats Barn is the ideal location for exploring County Durham and the surrounding countryside. Ideal for walkers and cyclists there are plenty of walking routes and cycleways that pass through the village into some of the most stunning countryside. Return from a day’s exploration and enjoy a well-earned drink in the village pub! An enclosed dog exercise field is located within 2.5 miles of Broats Barn! This spacious area is perfect for your furry friends to run, play and enjoy some off-leash time safely.



There are a number of little villages and towns to explore close by. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, take a trip to Barnard Castle, a thriving and historic market town with many quaint little shops.
