Waterfront Cottage - Adorable & Private

Spend your days exploring the National Seashore and your evenings at a sweet little retreat directly overlooking Minister's Pond. Just a short way from the National Seashore's Visitor Center and bike and walking trails. Enjoy morning coffee or meals on your screened porch or sit in your Adirondack chairs overlooking the water on your private dock. Comfortable and private, the cottage sits away from the main road and is a short drive to bay and ocean beaches, shops, restaurants and other destinations.

Located in a very private spot in a small Cape Cod cottage colony, this is a perfect retreat for singles or couples who want to have a great time exploring Outer Cape Cod and a cozy place to return to after an exciting day! We also have many guests who find it a perfect location for workshops/seminars.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Sweep or vacuum floors ('broom clean")
Put away dishes - check that they are clean and dry
Wipe down counters and tables
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No overnight guests. No smoking or vaping allowed on entire association grounds / property and no candles per association rules.
The older fishing/row boat and small single kayak must remain on pond. Boats and dock used at your own risk.
Quiet times in early mornings and late evening. You will need, of course, to be respectful of our neighbors. Thank you!

Another beautiful visit

We particularly enjoyed the dock and the rowboat and the screened porch. The exiting onto Rt 6 is a little scary, but we got used to it.

Great little lake cottage

Small lakefront cottage in very quiet neighborhood but very close to everything. Great for couples. Breakfast on small dock. Ocean beaches, bay beaches kettle ponds nearby, and Orleans for shopping.

Another great stay in your lovely cottage. Enjoyed sitting on the dock at the pond as much as hanging at the beach! Kitchen well equipped to make meals. All the windows provide nice cross breeze, but AC works well on the really hot days. The screen porch also is a delight. Thanks again.

This is the second year we are staying here. Hostess very available to help. There were a number of glitches m, like couldn’t sign in to WiFi, the air conditioning stopped working. They were on top of it to fix it. The place is comfortable and in a beautiful setting.

Wonderful week on Minister Pond

We loved staying at this cozy little cottage on Minister Pond. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Quiet, private and close to everything. Having the dock to sit on and watch the active birdlife was a joy. We would highly recommend this place for a peaceful week away and would certainly stay here again.

Nice location for Lower cape stay

Perfect place for couples stay. Nice location close to beaches and restaurants on lower cape. Restful sitting on the dock reading and enjoying the pond. One minor incident but Linda was great at fixing it very quickly. All in all very happy with my stay and would repeat in the future. Thank you Linda.

Perfect Cape Cod getaway

This cute little cottage was clean and had wonderful views from many of the windows. We loved sitting on the dock, bird watching and enjoying the sun. It was pretty private with a lot of trees and foliage. The owner was very attentive and sent the check in info a couple of days before we were due to check in, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be back next summer.

Quiet little haven

Lovely little cottage on a lake. It looks just like photos. Air conditioning works well and the bed is very comfortable. You need to cross 6 to get to the rail trail but there is a marked crosswalk. Very, very close to Coastguard National Seashore, as indicated.

Waterfront Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable cottage. We loved the screened porch and the Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the pond. We used the rowboat quite a lot and enjoyed watching the varieties of birds on and near the water. Like other reviewers, we found the entrance/exit onto Route 6 a challenge at first, but quickly got used to it. We hope to return soon.

We are a Franco-American couple who searched for a little gem we could retreat to ourselves and rent to others to enjoy.
We surprised ourselves by finding our little bit of heaven tucked away on a small private road behind the bustle of route 6. In a small, older cottage colony that is now "condos", we have great neighbors and excellent privacy. We picked our little cottage because it has its own private dock and was solidly built.

Why they chose this property

Perfect location if you want to be private but close to the amazing stretch of beaches that makes up the Outer Cape's National Seashore. Freshwater ponds and the bay beaches are also great for endless variety.
We love taking our bikes on the off-road path to Coast Guard Beach, walking to the Salt Pond Visitor's Center for our morning walks, and shopping (low-key and friendly) at Eastham's Superette or in nearby Orleans.
We also love the simplicity yet practical little space in our cottage, where we often cook fresh local seafood and eat on our screened porch.

What makes this property unique

Great location and waterfront at a reasonable price. Large screened porch overlooking the pond.
Perfect get-away for single or couple.
Old-fashioned style (knotty pine) but with safe features - new furnace, air-conditioning, etc.
Owner vs. management company so more personalized.
