A pleasant walk from the property will take you to Avon beach. If you walk along Avon beach you will find the Beach Hut Café, The Noisy Lobster café, shop, ice cream parlour and The Fish and Chip Hut. You will also find Mudeford Quay offering the ever popular family pastime of 'crabbing' from the quayside. The Quay Head is a pedestrian zone and the hub of activity set amongst a cluster of historic buildings thought to date from 1695 including the pub The Haven House Inn. Take a five-minute ferry-ride from Mudeford Quay and there is the unique beach huts on Mudeford Spit. There are toilets, a café and a shop on the sandbank. In the evening in Mudeford you can enjoy a meal in the Upper Deck Bar & Restaurant with its stunning harbour views. On the Quay you can also take the opportunity to take the Ferry which runs regularly to Wick, Mudeford Sandbank and Hengistbury Head during the summer months (weather permitting). Just around the corner is the very interesting Red House Museum and Gardens which is a charming Georgian building, built as a workhouse in 1764.
