Why they chose this property
This property was completely rebuilt in 2015 but has plenty of character combined with a fully-equipped modern kitchen and huge bedrooms and bathrooms. I moved to Purbeck 20 years ago because I have a particular interest in Thomas Hardy, the novelist and poet, and this is 'Hardy Country'. For many years, I was on the Thomas Hardy Society Management Committee and gave lecture tours of Thomas Hardy locations in Dorset.
What makes this property unique
There is a lovely view from the rear of the property onto the hills beyond. The private cul-de-sac is mainly traffic free, running parallel to the busier main street through the village centre and thus secluded and quiet. There are many walks from the front door to the hills or coast, plus local sandy beaches to enjoy.
