Outside there is off-road parking and a huge lawn with a pond at the rear and a stream at the front, there is also a gravelled area at the rear with outdoor furniture. The area is steeped in history; the first Christian missionary to Scotland landed at The Machars, founding the first church in Whithorn in AD 397. The beautiful coastline is a mixture of sandy beaches and rocky shores teeming with birdlife, while sailing, riding and fishing all available locally and there are plenty of excellent courses to keep keen golfers busy.
