This fabulous former mission hall is situated 11 miles from Abergavenny and 12 miles from Monmouth - a great touring base.. Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack.. Garden with courtyard. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. This luxury property, a former mission hall, was renovated in 2019 and consists of an open plan living space with a wood burner, Smart TV and patio doors leading to a courtyard area. The Old Chapel is situated in the village of Grosmont, which has its very own castle for history enthusiasts, and there are plenty of other castles nearby, including Skenfrith Castle, 4 miles, and White Castle, 4½ miles. There are plenty of walks to be had from the property as its situated on the Wye Valley, and the River Usk is 9 miles away.



The market town of Abergavenny is 11 miles away and has an abundance of shops, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. It also holds its award-winning food festival every September. For those wanting to visit the historic town of Monmouth, is just a 12-mile drive from the property, and there are some local restaurants and pubs in the surrounding villages. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Absolutely immaculate cottage.

Absolutely immaculate cottage. Clean, beautifully decorated and furnished and facilities fantastic. A perfect place for a very quiet getaway. It's also a brilliant base for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage is in a very quiet, peaceful village which is perfect for a get away from it all break but you will need to drive for restaurants shops etc. There is one pub and a village store for the basics. There are lovely countryside walks from the cottage. We would definitely recommend and use this cottage again.

A lovely place to stay for a long weekend, lots of great little touches like a homemade cake and mini champagne by the bed! Very clean and well furnished. There were all the basics you’d need plus extra that you don’t normally get at accommodation- things like milk and ketchup that you might forget to bring. We loved our stay and there was a great pub within walking distance. We’ll be coming back if we’re around the area again!

We couldn’t ask for anything more… stunning little old chapel… in a stunning location.. the property had everything you could need and property full of top quality items… fluffy towels! ! and the owner went out of her way to make everything very special… home made cake and biscuits … Prosecco by the bed! Amazing value for money ..i would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely be returning

Wij hebben genoten van een vakantieweek in "The old Chapel". Deze woning is bijzonder goed en rustig gelegen om de Brecon Beacons te bezoeken. Deze woning is bijzonder schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Op de begane grond een woonkamer en keuken, op de eerste verdieping twee slaapkamers en badkamer met toilet. Aangrenzend aan de woonkamer een terras met tuinmeubelen. Het mooiste compliment wat je kan geven is dat we met plezier een tweede maal zouden huren. In deze omgeving is veel te bezichtigen.

We had a wonderful stay at the old chapel. We stayed for 4 nights. The cottage is immaculate, not a thing out of place and incredibly clean. There were lots of nice touches when we arrived such as milk in the fridge, a cake and some tasty chocolates. The wood burner is lovely and makes place nice and toasty! We had a wonderful stay at The Old Chapel and cannot rate it highly enough. It is spotlessly clean and of a very high standard and would definitely recommend it. The area is very picturesque, peaceful and quiet. The only down side was the one small Post Office/store which had very little stock of anything and a very grumpy owner.
