Get away from it all at our Green River Log Cabin situated only a few feet off the Corp of Engineers property line on Richard B Russell Lake. Come enjoy our beautiful cabin in the woods with the added benefit of the lake being only a few hundred feet (3 minute walk) from the cabin via a marked walking trail. Your family will have acres to explore, hike, and play. Your dog will be in heaven if you bring him/her along!
The Cabin: With only 400 square feet, it's best for a couple or single family, but sleeps up to 8. There are queen mattresses in the master bedroom, upstairs loft, and a queen pullout couch. There are also two built-in twin bunk beds. Upgraded kitchen with granite, stainless appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Full bathroom with shower/tub. Large screened porch with a ceiling fan and room to relax, as well. We recently added a huge covered porch for added enjoyment outdoors.
The Property: Coldwater Point Cabin is situated towards the back of a very private 26 acre lot surrounded on three sides by Lake Russell with over 4000 feet of lake frontage. There are several walking trails throughout the property along with a fire ring for campfires and s'mores. We provide a canoe for our guest to use during their stay. Make sure you bring a fishing pole for the crappie, bass, catfish, and bream in the coves. At night, take a stroll the field at the top of the hill for some great star gazing while listening to the coyotes, owls, and whippoorwills in the distance. We are often asked about the walk from our cabin to the lake. Here's a video of the actual walk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luyB37bqm5s&feature=youtu.be
Nearby: We are only about 8 minutes from Richard B Russell State Park. Arrowhead Point Golf course is a must for golfers and the park also has a large sand beach, hiking trails, boat launch, and Frisbee disc course. Be sure to check out Blue Cielo Farms winery just down the road! It's about a 20 minute drive to Elberton, GA where you'll find restaurants, grocery stores, and other things to do. Athens, GA is around 45 minutes and worth a visit if you need to fill your time on a rainy day.
Our cabin is remote! Cell phone service is non-existent to spotty, at best, and we do not provide a phone or internet. Plan to be "disconnected" during your stay and enjoy the peace and quiet! This is the perfect place to get away from it all!

It was our 4th time staying here. Inside it has everything you need. Outside it is secluded, quiet, and beautiful. We canoed and enjoyed quiet and calm. We hope to be back soon.
Very remote, but if that’s what you want this is perfect. No wifi and very little cell service but that was perfect for us. Property is great with lots of built in necessities like kayaks and a fire pit and plenty of space to roam.
This was unlike any location I have ever stayed. We really enjoyed it. It was one of the quietest locations, except for sounds of nature, I have ever been. Our dogs LOVED it. We hiked, grilled out, hung out at the lake and chilled by the fire. The tiny home was perfect. The host was responsive to all my questions. This is in the description but the cell service is extremely spotty. If you need to be online, this might not be the place for you.
This was a great place to get off the grid and unplug. The property is well maintained and on the edge of Corp woods that surround a lake. Just lovely!
We just returned from the cabin where we spent the weekend of July 4th! My family really enjoyed it and we can't wait to go back! We spent most of our time on the water or on the amazing deck playing games and it...was...perfect.

The deck has been our favorite addition to the cabin. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
We love staying at this gem of a place. You basically have a private lake to swim, fish, paddle board, canoe... IT's awesome. Kitchen is well equipped and a great golf course nearby. Will be back next year!
We LOVE this cabin on the lake and have been here multiple times and it just keeps getting better and better!! It is so peaceful and serene and perfect for our kids to run and play in the freedom of the woods. The cabin is so clean and cozy and delightful! It makes you never want to leave!!
If you are looking for a remote place to rest, relax, and disconnect from the main stream, this is the place for you. It has walking paths to the water and a place to put in your canoe. Very clean and great outdoor seating. Full size fridge, stove and dish washer.

We hope you can make it back too! Thank you for staying with us!
This is our 2nd year staying at Cold water cabin and it was just as wonderful as last year. All the different trails provide a different adventure for every day of your trip. ! We will be back . The host are great with responding quickly and helping with any accommodations needed
Beautiful "middle of nowhere" tiny house and right next to Lake Russell. We enjoyed the easy walking trail down to the lake and used the canoe. So peaceful and quiet. We loved the hammock swings. Only issue was that some of the bedding wasn't clean but there was plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We will be back.
My friends and I had the best time!! The best property and cutest tiny home. The tiny home was very spacious! And the porch was the BEST! All we needed was more hammock chairs! The hosts were awesome and so helpful but we didn’t have any issues! will stay here again if I get the chance!
