Dimora Ferralasco is an historic mid-19th-century home that was skilfully restored in 2020 by its owners, Luigi and Daniela, who passionately revived its warm, bright, and Mediterranean charm. It is located on the Carloforte waterfront near the small fishing harbour, just a few minutes from the town centre. The house is surrounded by a large garden and is built on a single level, with the exception of the small observation tower typical of 19th-century summer residences. A spacious terrace surrounds the house and offers several relaxation areas, as well as a 5m x 4m swimming pool with a sun deck furnished with loungers and deck chairs. There is also an outdoor shower for use before entering the piscina.La property has two entrances on Via Primo Maggio: one for pedestrians and one for vehicles. The private parking area can comfortably accommodate three cars, though there is also a large free car park on the opposite side of Via Primo Maggio. The house is accessed via a spacious terrace featuring a comfortable seating area and a table for outdoor dining, all surrounded by ancient walls, centuries-old Pitosphorus trees, and myrtle hedges. A large glass door leads into the living room, from which you can reach the house’s charming kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, a double-door refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a microwave; it also includes a full set of dishes and table linens for 12 people.
From the kitchen, you can access the bedroom in the belvedere tower. Its wooden ceiling, terracotta niches, and the view from the two windows are particularly charming. The living room opens onto a hallway leading to the four bedrooms in the sleeping area. All are equipped with an en-suite bathroom featuring a comfortable shower, individual air conditioning, USB ports for charging cell phones, retractable mosquito screens, a safe, and a mini-fridge. Every room has been meticulously designed with attention to detail. The four bedrooms on the ground floor have dual access—from inside the house and from the garden—making them completely independent. Both the exteriors and interiors have been meticulously maintained by the owners, who, during the restoration, salvaged antique furnishings and materials such as the original sandstone flooring that was already present on the house’s terraces.
