About this property
Historic Union Place - in the Heart of Sligo Town
You will love the charm of our amazing home called Union Place! Situated conveniently in town, this beautiful property is the ideal retreat after a day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. Featuring spacious living and dining areas complete with a cozy fireplace and exposed stone walls, three bedrooms (one ensuite), and two full baths upstairs, all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay are provided. Conveniently located within walking distance of everything Sligo Town has to offer.
Dating back to 1886, this building is a proud relic of the Victorian era, listed and protected for its historical significance. Constructed from limestone, its two-foot-thick walls stand as a testament to enduring craftsmanship across the ages. As noted by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, "This decorative house is part of a distinctive group which lend contrast, variety and appeal to the street. Original roof trims, windows, canopied entrance and details such as the sill guards and railings all contribute to the appeal.".
WE say three inviting bedrooms, two baths, a welcoming fireplace, and window seats make this a perfect refuge to unwind after a day of touring the gorgeous local area.
Enjoy our robust amenities including fresh kitchen supplies, bath essentials, all-in-one washer/dryer, supplies for the charcoal stove, baby gates, highchair, and travel cot.
The entire home is available for you and your travelling companions.
We look forward to arranging your arrival, answering any questions you may have, and helping plan your stay! Once you’re settled, we are available by phone for anything you may need.
The Sligo bus and train stations are within steps of the front door, and the North/South N4 is immediately adjacent. The N15 and N16 are also easily accessible, allowing access to the entire Wild Atlantic Way of Ireland, in addition to the Midlands. Coming from Dublin? The N4 is a direct route.
Sligo is a walkable city, but there is also parking on the street in front of the building which is free from 6pm to 8am each day. During the day it is metered - or guests may park for free in the Lidl parking lot adjacent.
There is a RING video doorbell camera beside the front door.
Please be patient if we must adhere to check in and check out times as we are committed to ensuring our home is cleaned to the high standards that our guests deserve.
For regulatory and safety reasons, we will require a list of the names and ages of everyone in your party at time of booking confirmation.
