My husband and I stayed at Coursehill Barn with our 5-month old baby and dog. We appreciated how spacious the property was, and it was handy to have use of the garden and field for walking our dog. We stayed 3 nights, Friday to Monday, and it was great to have a full weekend at the property (worth checking dates as it cost us no extra to stay on the Sunday night!) We were running ahead of schedule so called the property manager who confirmed we could check in slightly early. We loved the underfloor heating and the sofa was very comfortable.
The location was ideal for exploring The Cotswolds and we did a day trip to Oxford. Be careful when using the postcode in a sat nav as one time it accidentally took us down the wrong part of Coursehill Lane where there is no access to the barn. As it’s a private road, the road surface can be a little bumpy so watch out for pot holes!
Whilst we liked the property, for a premium listing, we would have expected slightly more in the way of basics - milk, a tea towel and larger glasses in the kitchen, as well as toiletries in the bathroom. We regularly stay in holiday lets and these are usually provided. Worth noting that there is no freezer compartment despite the listing mentioning a fridge/freezer.
Witney is a lovely little town with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops. Dog-friendly pub recommendations: The Rose Revived, The Blue Boar, and The Fleece.
