Coursehill Barn

This is our third visit to this location it is conveniently placed between both Burford and Witney, and the building was very warm and comfortable especially as the weather was cold. One of the reasons we like the location is there is a large field next to the annex which is self contained and my spaniel enjoyed his freedom. One slight disavan̈tage is it is on the flight path to Brize Norton so low flying aircraft and night flying is possible but being an air enthusiast great photo opportunities.

Short Stay

Cottage is in a great location. Unfortunately weather was very poor so had to spend most of our time in the cottage where we were expecting to be able to use WIFI. Unfortunately the WiFi was not working. In addition showerhead was broken with water gushing down the centre rather than a spray. Called the tel number provided but it was not contactable so sent an email. Later that night received a response to advise that our contact person was in Australia and had limited access to WIFI but would get both items fixed that day. Left 2 days later and no contact from anyone. So in summary it was a very disappointing short break

Comfy and cosy

Lovely cottage which was so warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. Loved the fluffy towels, the garden and field were brilliant for our dog. So well equipped - the dishwasher was a bonus, and the small freezer on the surface ideal for our needs. Our only negative was the frequent planes which passed over very noisily. We had read that the flight path was over head but hadn't realised the frequency of them, even at night. The main problem with this was our dog who felt they had to be chased away and got himself quite worked up.

Hidden gem

What an amazing find. Property is beautiful, well equipped and spacious. We met the owner who is really lovely. We had an amazing week and the low flying aircraft were a bonus as we are both RAF veterans. Would highly recommend and we are definitely keen on a return visit in the in the not to distant future. Good location for exploring the Cotswolds

The property was clean and comfortable. Our dog loved the big garden to explore. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful, but a very short drive to Witney with plenty of places to eat and drink. The property needs a hoover and mop bucket for guests staying with dogs, this would have been very useful.

Countryside stay in the Cotswolds

Clean and functional property. Note states no dogs on bed or sofa which we quite agree with but very hard to police with no internal doors!! Luckily we were out and had a crate for bed time but it was hard work. Also no where to let the dog run free by himself outside.

Situated in a secluded spot

Lovely quiet situation - but on the flight path to Brize Norton which was busy during our stay. May be worth mentioning in the brief for the property.

Lovely Place

We loved the big garden and the planes flying over. The annexe was nice and spacious and had everything we needed. We could find it easily and it was great that we could park the car just outside our place. Our dog also had a great time and we weren't too far away from the wonderful villages in the Cotswolds area. We had a great time here and were sorry we had to leave.

An enjoyable break.

The Barn is lovely and roomy and everything was nice and clean. Well placed for many places to visit in the area. Pleasant gardens. Ignore your Satnav if it tells you to use the eastern 'arm' of Coursehill Lane to get there, use the northern 'arm' (sorry, can't think of a better way to explain it!).

Peaceful getaway.

The annex was lovely. Quiet location. Lovely big garden for the dog to play in. Close to lake walks and fishing lakes if that's what you like to do. Didn't take advantage of the local area as we were unable to take our dog to many places but was ideal to de- stress and unwind.

Weekend Stay

Very nice location, property very clean and tidy our dog loved the additional field for his excercise. The journey into Witney took about 5 minutes depending on traffic. As an aircraft enthusiast you are on the flight path for Brize Norton. This is our second visit and will definitely come again.

A well located property

The Annex was in a good location and the field for dog walking was ideal, one thing to be aware of is the farm complex is on the flight path for low aircraft going into Brize Norton, but being a aircraft enthusiast I was able to get some good photos. The rooms were clean and the large lounge/kitchen area were ideal for our Spaniel. Would like to come back.

Real gem

This is a lovely place to stay. Idyllic location on a farm. Ideal for dogs due to large garden and field adjoining the property. Inside was tastefully decorated and well appointed with everything you need for your stay. Plenty of room for parking. You do get the occasional noise from planes at nearby RAF Brize Norton, but that didn't bother us.
Response from VrboOwner on 31 Aug 2022
