A total wellbeing experience.
Total switch off and relaxation in accommodation that was pure, quirky luxury. It was well equipped, beautifully decorated in vivid colours; think South American colours.

Sensational experience
You couldn't ask for more, amazing place to stay we said in October, weather wasn't the best, but when the sun is out and your in your very own private court yard, sat is the hot tub, completely bless and tranquil, you could be anywhere. This was my wife's and I first time here and will be coming back again and again, the owners are so pleasant and accommodating, we even had breakfast delivered to our accommodation. Would highly recommend.

Stunning Romantic Retreat
Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate 10th Wedding Anniversary. The room was sensational - From the Huge bed, to the stand alone bath tub and very individual, eclectic decoration. We stayed in Nook, which also had it's own private courtyard with Sauna and Hot tub. The perfect place to relax with my wife.

A little piece of heaven in rural Cornwall that not everyone knows about thankfully.
Wow, just wow!
I tried to find something different, unique, a little piece of heaven to celebrate our first mini break without the children and pooch in toe, and smashed it out of the park when booking a three night stay at Lower Barns! Initially drawn in by the rating, glowing reviews and gallery on the website, but trust me the reality is even better. This place is special, so calm and peaceful, in fact that good we extended our stay by a night!

Good - but a couple of ragged edges.
Stayed two nights in Nook. Beautifully secluded location - our Satnav said we were 'navigating off road' for the last mile! Received a warm welcome. The owners have gone above and beyond in creating a wonderful and interesting environment. Facilities excellent - rooms top notch.

Excellent retreat just off the beaten track!
We stayed in the Nook, which was an amazing room with its own seating area, private courtyard area and private sauna! The place is not really in walking distance of many places due to its remote location, but this wasn't a problem for us and the peace and quiet was just what we'd hoped for. The breakfast was varied, and served to our room which was nice, however if you don't choose the Nook or Cranny rooms, I think breakfast is served in the main building all around 1 big table! Overall fab!

Fabulous relaxing time after lockdown
We returned to Lower Barns 2 years after our daughter was married there. Janie and Mike are lovely And so friendly. We stayed in The Nook which is quirky, has everything you could want and your own hot tub and sauna in your own area to relax in. Breakfast was served in our accommodation each day.
I would highly recommend Lower Barns a safe, quiet environment which is close to Mevagissey, restaurants and other amenities and towns.
Fabulous comfortable accommodation will definitely return agai

Review from May 22, 2023 Wow! This place is what you get when you take two wonderful, well travelled people full of positive spirit and kind intent, blend the colours sounds, sights, scents and sensations of great intentions and marry them with the sumptuous vision and authenticity of the most genuine human beings you'll have the honour to meet. Lower Barns is an oasis set away from life's complex and feckless nonsense; a Cornish cornucopia bursting with character and a luxurious island of tranquility. Just read the reviews. Then realise that they still don't do justice to to this place. The do yourself a favour and book for as long as you can. Yes, it's that highly recommended and we've been to some amazing places, the world round.
We recently had our elopement wedding at Lower Barns and what a fantastic time we had. The whole process from initial contact to the actual wedding day itself was stress free and easy
