Cottage-Ensuite with Shower-The Stable

The Stable is a two bed room, fully accessible cottage sleeping up to 4 people. It is a single storey building. The open plan lounge is tastefully decorated and furnished and the kitchen area is fully fitted with electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine & dishwasher. There are two bedrooms both with twin or king size beds as required. One bedroom has en-suite wet room specially adapted for the disabled. We have a shower chair available if required and there is also a separate family bathroom with bath, shower basin & WC.
Outside is a large patio area with table and chairs and safe, off road parking.

Just a short stroll brings you to the Leeds–Liverpool Canal, perfect for leisurely walks, peaceful fishing, and visiting the many welcoming country inns along the route. The renowned Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere is only two miles away, while the elegant seaside resort of Southport can be reached in just 10 minutes. Conveniently located only seven miles from Junction 27 of the M6, all of the North West’s most popular destinations are within easy reach.

Originally farm buildings dating back over a century, the cottages have been tastefully and professionally converted to provide modern, comfortable, easy-care accommodation while preserving their traditional character and original features.

The Dairy, The Shippon and The Granary are arranged around an enclosed cobbled courtyard. Each cottage varies in size and offers its own distinctive charm and individual style. With full central heating, they are ideal for short breaks or longer stays at any time of year. Our newest cottage, The Stable, is fully accessible for disabled guests, featuring a specially adapted en-suite wet room and its own private driveway.

All cottages are equipped with Smart TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. The fitted kitchens include an electric cooker, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, and all essential utensils and equipment. Each cottage also boasts a private patio area with table and chairs for al fresco dining, along with shared access to a spacious garden and children’s play area.

Electricity, bed linen, and towels are provided at no additional cost. A travel cot, high chair, and safety gate are available on request. Please note that we are a non-smoking establishment and do not accept pets.
